  • Last nights event was a blast. Many thanks to the DMs for making the event happen. And thanks to each of the players that were in last night's event for participating in the event.

      • Thanks to all of the players for their plannings and preparations that hopefully paid off last night.

Thanks to all of the other DM's that really helped out with this and other run up events, Grinning Death, Kasso, Cornuto, Saulus.

Thanks to the other DEVs for their hard work, besides his toolsetting and scripting work, Cornuto made all of the new icons for the custom abilities and classes in the update. As for Saulus, you guys seriously have no idea how much work he puts in, but there would be nothing without him and not just because he hosts the server. It's staggering.

And whoever made the new city, massive kudos for making the reflecting pond walkable. It's the little things that make it all worthwhile.

          • Sundren has the best DM team in NWN2. It's just fact. And yes, kudos to Saulus for Alcazar smoking a strange substance where ever he goes and working so hard on the server.

And I say if he wants to be a lich who smokes pot, then he has earned that right ten times over.

I've played here a long time and I feel all the effort and fun I've had playing this game paid off in the event. Sundrens direction seems incredibly positive and I can't wait to see more.

            • I've only been back on the server for a week or two now, but I've been blown away. I'm wishing I had never left.

Thank you so much to Saulus, the DMs, the developers, and the players for making Sundren such an awesome place to play.

I look foward to Datton's next encounter with Dain

                          • I don't often come on here to post. Generally I find openly praising the efforts of people in open public to be a little odd, I suppose that's because personally I generally don't know how to take compliments well and I always end up changing the subject to deflect attention elsewhere.

However, I wanted to say a sincere Kudos for whoever worked on the loot tables, not just the person who put them into the server, because I think we can all agree that the new tables are much better and injecting more unknown elements into the game world to encourage more of us to go exploring; but I wanted to thank whoever sat down and created the items that went into the loot script.

To put this into perspective, I ran the Whurest mines, usually I would do the run and at the end come out with maybe a longbow of mighty or some padded armour of cantrips or something, you know generic random stuff that is usually referred to as "Vendor Trash."

However this time when I worked my way through the dungeon, and eventually bested the boss at the end I found three items amidst the piles of gold and necklaces, the first was an "Axe of the Granite Guard", I don't think I have ever found a magical Dwarven War Axe before, in fact I cant recall a time I ever found a plain DWA never mind a magical one.

Second item: Antique Dwarven Heavy Shield, blue named item and certainly thematically appropriate for the area I had been working my way through.

The last item then was an Ancient Dwarven Helm, which Iggy currently wears because it looks both plain and awesome at the same time.

Now I won't reveal the "Examine" descriptions, I want others to try and find items like this, but my point is that I saw these items and I examined them and for the first time I actually felt like I was in the Whurest mines, I felt like a flame headed Indiana Jones, discovering some forgotten piece of history. I finally looked at the mines as something MORE than just an A-B road of gold farming.

So thank you to who ever it was that decided to allow players to experience a bit more of the game, to increase the bond between player, character, and location.

                            You Sir/Madam(s) rock.
Until I can somehow magically discover, hitherto unknown, skills to make a nice looking sig pic to represent my main chrs -

I want to give kudos to whomever did the modeling for the ancient dwarven helm, it is just how I would expect a dwarven helm to look. I have to agree with Delexos... it is awesome.
