      • Epic, immersive, and even having a twist or two, Polt's event yesterday was one of the best DM events I've been involved in for a LONG time. The care and effort toward keeping a focused main goal, yet still offering a good deal of freedom to the players on certain methods of approach, was remarkable. Add in the fact that I have not seen multiple groups handled THAT well since Phantom Lamb. I tip my hat to you sir Polt for making such an epic event and still making it about the players.

Speaking of the players, I'm not about to forget those involved. From Marrent kicking that boulder's ass to Darius, Emiliana, Ryland, and Maia kicking wholesale ass, everyone did an OUTSTANDING job both in a fighting sense and, more importantly, in an rp sense. I'd like to thank Avari, of course Becky, Alav, Welks, Sean, Alyrian, Terinda, Dante, Liara, Serrano, the rest of the baddies, and everyone else who's names are currently slipping my mind or that I'm too afraid to attempt to spell.

        Masterful work by all.

        • I can't say much of anything that hasn't already been said by those who posted before me. The event was better than I expected, and Polt did a great job of handling such a large group. Everyone involved got a chance to shine in some way or another, and that always makes players happy!

          Kudos to everyone there.

          • I just want to throw a kudos out there to the Black Tax folks. All of you have really brought this faction to life, and make it feel like a real guild. And kudos to a certain recruit for going along with an excellent training session.

              • I would like to give accolades to the people involved in the Viridale event Saturday night/Sunday morning.

First of all to Kasso, for sticking through with us for over 5 hours and delivering a story that not only bring help conclusion to a longstanding element of Sundren, but also painstakingly sharing notes with Poltergeist to make sure everything was consistent.

And to my fellow roleplayers, acting the roles of Ryland, Dante, James, Altherion, Alyrian, Osclow and Fenton. I know Maia was the focus of the event, but each of you added to it in a way I know made it more enjoyable for me - from Ryland's steadfast offer of support, to Altherion's shock at seeing the Viridale so sadly diminished, to James' fascinated notetaking throughout (and my enumeration is by no means exhaustive).

                  • ^ awesome.

But also, the event! Maia is fantastic as a Fae Queen, with just the right mix of confidence, empathy, and bite!

                    Additionally, props to:

                    - Osclow, who helped facilitate Alyrian's participation in an event surrounding Alyrian's favorite place in the valley.

                    - James Frazer, whose player has to deal with remembering all of Alyrian's aliases

                    - Altherion, who Alyrian finally was able to encounter ... and yet did not speak
one word to (next time, buddy. next time!)

                    - Dante; man were those teleport spells useful

                    - Ryland, for keeping me alive when the nasties came swarming at me.

                    - Fenton, who was just nice to see pop up again. Plus he's always got a smartass thing to say. =)

                    And, can't forget:

                    - Kasso, whos really vivid imagery and narration kept me up despite my exhaustion.

                    - QA, who - though he was not involved in this particular event - ran another one before it which was just as awesome. Plus, man is this guy adaptable!

And finally, to all my Family friends (who I will not name so we can all pretend not to metagame), for making the Family really feel alive these last few months.

                    Whew.

Thank you. A character's story should have a beginning and an end, although sometimes the end is not where we think it is.

This event was a lot of fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to more encounters with DM Events in the future.

                      • The Bloodmaim event last night was outstanding! Mega kudos to Grinning Death and Poltergeist for pulling off an ambitious dual-action event with very minimal hiccups. (Legion NPCs beating up Veritas NPCs? ...not a problem, says my character! )

There were too many folks there to give credit to everyone, but if you were involved, then kudos! Big events are always more fun when folks work together!

Kudos to GD and Polt, for pulling off an absolutely amazing event; the timing issue and organization between the two parties was pulled off really well, and made everything extremely tense. Leithian was very nervous he was going to lead the splinter group off on a wild goose chase!

Extra props to everybody else there!
