Quick ques. (I have not been IG to check yet) - what of the Heal Kits we currently have in our Inventory? Will they work as before? Or fizzle out?

(-Sorry if this was asked already and I missed it)

I'm diggin the bandages so far. Finally, a cheap way to heal up between encounters. My only problem is I can't think of any way short of having a divine caster in the party to save your fallen buddy as he slowly bleeds out during a battle. Are there plans to add in a "trauma kit" or "stabilizer kit" to help out with this, or do we just kinda stand around and watch the party member bleed out? I guess you can use the bandages after a battle to start the healing, but many bleed out before the battle is over. It is concievable to have one character get knocked into the bleeding (below 0), one continue to fight the attacker, and one to drag the wounded off and try to stabilize him (assuming a party of 3 non-divine-casters).

Now, I'm not saying it is a bad idea to have a divine caster and to do anything to discourage having one in the party. I love old-school parties (a fighter or two, a rogue, a mage, and a cleric), but it is pretty tough to get this kind of group together and still be in the same level range.

      Any thoughts?

Any heal kits you currently own will still function as expected. However, no new ones will be able to be acquired.

I also want to remind everyone, ALL cure potions have maximized effect. I repeat, ALL cure potions have a maximized effect.

Cure Critial Wounds for example heals around 40hp. This mimic's nwn1's default implementation and makes cure potions much more reliable in combat. I think the attack of opportunity trade off and the pricing is alot more in balance than spamming heal kits.

And that is why my non-divine-casters (and even my divine ones from time to time) carry a bunch of potions. I don't mind the AOO for a potion. I mean...think of how long it should take to pull one out of a pouch/holder/whatever, uncork it, and swig the thing. Plenty of time you are not paying 100% attention to the fight, so an extra attack against you seems logical. And, while the cost is what keeps most non-healer classes down, the maximized part helps immensly.

            NOTE:
For now, don't purchase the bandages from stores. I need to change the item types, and some of them aren't working. Thanks--

Hi would it still be possible to cure poisons and disease with the heal skill? Are you actually able to do this in P&P or is it only for wounds?

As of now, there are no kits for treating poison and disease. It's something we can add in the near future, since it's a pretty easy task.

Expect a small update for some bug fixes. Some of the items in the stores had plot flags on them. If you bought any of these items for 1 GP, please let us know.

The update also makes bandages a new item type that weigh .1 LB and stack up to 99

Ok, I could go on about healing this... outfitting that... But I will simply state:

Awesome Work!!! and thank you for taking on issues that seem to pepper the treads.
