The unearthed arcana is a really nice book of some of the more interesting rule varients to DnD. I think there is a rule varient in that book for ever single base class (like the urban ranger), along with the Paragons, Race varients, rule varients, and pretty much any kind of minor alteration you'd like as a house rule is in that book.

Good to use and compare for coming up with your own rules and varients.

I have two favorite books, Unearthed Arcana, and Libris Mortis...they are my babies. I cant wait till they make all the "Extra" Complete books, like they already did Mage and Scoundrel, which both rocked azz!

The Paragon template is an immensely powerful template and is something quite different from the racial paragon classes as crazyjerren explained.
