Attention, everyone: any axe that isn't a greataxe.

I also agree that some projectile weapons are unused, as are flails. Kukri get their fair share of use, however, in a few characters that I've seen (one of mine included). Katanas, despite being exotic weapons and originating from Kara-Tur, surprisingly are well-distributed in Faerun. It's half of all those Weapon Masters...

My katar Weapon Master owns, despite only doing about 20 points of damage with Ki Strike.

I think, and that is my own view since I love playing WM with Katana, is that the Katana makes a Weaponmaster a real good roleplay character. There is a difference in saying you follow the way of the katana than rather the way of the dagger or scythe

              Slings are underused?
But they are so practical... light, cheap and effective...

              RP and RP-ish aspects:
As a small, light weapon it makes sense to carry for a character that is predominately melee, and thus dont want to lug around a huge crossbow, or a meter and a half longbow. Or someone whos weak, wanting to cut down on weight. Or wants to be able to hide it on his body.

Ammo is (or should be, havent checked ingame and compared to arrows/bolts on Sundren) fairly cheap. Not to mention the sling itself.

Background wise its a weapon thats widely availiable.

Combat wise, you can use a shield with them, you can add your STR bonus if any to the damage... you cant with a longbow, unless it has the mighty property.

              Its bludgoneing damage.

Its drawback is the low crit properties.

                1. Slings - no good enchantments that i've seen
                2. Haha! Scythe crits undead with new expansion epic feats bitches!

I think more people should use their face as a weapon, the fights would look silly but be entertaining.
Heh, i guess my characters are deleted, now. Updating char list soon!

Hey steak, from what i've read:

                    "Epic Precision

                    Type of Feat: General
                    Prerequisite: 21st level, Crippling Strike
Specifics: You deal normal sneak attack damage against creatures that are normally immune to sneak attacks
                    Use: Automatic"

                    "One Shot

                    Type: General
Prerequisites: 21st Level, Dexterity 27, Point blank shot, Improved Rapid shot
Specifics: You can attempt to deliver an extremely powerful ranged attack. The attack ignores all concealment and circumvents any arrow deflection (like that granted by deflect arrows or armed deflection). If the attack hits it deals maximum damage and inflicts a critical hit, even if the target would normally be immune to critical hits. This ability has a cooldown of 60 seconds.
                    Use: Standard action"

I'm sure there was one for melee damage crits, but i cant find it atm.

Surely it's not possible to have 27 dex until 28th level though... is it?

On that note, the epic feat 'Dragon Companion' require 29 Wis (wouldn't you need to be 36th level).

If they have the feats that boost base stats again like that did in NWN1, you can get shit earlier.

Personally I think slings are slow and annoying to aim with. JAvelins are where it's at!

If you were an Aasimar who maxed out his initial wisdom at level 1 then progessed in nothing but wisdom through the first 20 levels, then spent your level 21 and 23 standard feats, 24th level stat increase and your bonus epic druid feat on epic wisdom then you could get it by level 26... >>"

Haven't seen many people with rapiers about. And I'm 100% sure I've never seen a rapier WM.

Oh, and Broadswords, where are all the Broadswords

No rapiers?!! I always considered rapier the most stylish weapon D&D could offer. I already have a character plan ready when i get Motb in my hands, otherwise i would try the "fancy pants" talkative duelist type.
                              Maybe someday

On another point, pure ranger are now an excellent choice, since they receive perfect 2weapon fighting free at lvl 21.

Haven't seen many scimitar users (maybe a couple druids, but no others).
Basing a fighter or rogue (with martial weapon proficiency) on using a scimitar should be fun. I'm actually thinking about a cutlass (scimitar) wielding pirate guy or even a character from the southern lands of Zakhara (if that would be allowed as a background) to play once the server is updated for MotB (I need one of the new heads for that ).
