Yes it would be interesting to see if a toon that is not a member of any faction but has rep over/under the default amounts are affected.

I actually have rep with factions other than the one my character is in. And it does effect all faction rep. Or that has been my experience.

Well, I've a toon that has rep with multiple factions, and all rep with all factions seems to get reset for me.

Has anyone who is NOT in a faction experienced this issue? When it happens to me, I notice it is only to the faction I am attached to, and not to my Sundren faction, or my Exigo faction rep. If this is only happening to people who are part of a specific faction, but not to the un-factioned pc's, then maybe that means something?

I dunno, just spitballing here. I don't have any unfactioned PC's to really test this with.

In an effort to diagnose this issue, please PM me the following if you have experienced any of the rep issues:

1. Character Name
2. Character Faction
3. The correct amount of rep your character should have.
4. The amount of rep your character has while experiencing this bug.

Note rep points gained when the system is "down" are (edit) NOT saved when the system is up. I have provide 4 toons (in different factions) information to Hades about a week or more ago. I had to wait for the system to be up to verify the "current" rep points. Only 1 out of 4 was correct.

While my main does not use any faction gear, she would like in the future. While I still login once a day I rarely see anyone on (sparky 1-2 times). Grant it I am not sitting in AFK waiting. If no one is on for the 30 min I am then I log.

It is hard to sit and Campfire-RP only.

Perhaps a silly question but until the day the rep system is fixed (and I do appreciate all the hard work that is going on behind the scenes) can we, as player bye-pass the system?

Can an item that grants Rep be given?

I just logged in to confirm, and it is indeed normal, apparently only on Mondays. Albeit it's missing 500 rep points from an event that happened when the rep system was broken.

I logged in today at 8:38am EST. Character Dante Swift. Faction Black Hand. Class Wizard. Level 23. My faction reputation was normal. In the past few day it had been zero. I had heard in the past few weeks that somehow a Monday figured into the equation that would set the reps back to normal. I have no clue if or how that would make a difference, just thought you guys should know.

The staff are doing what they can to narrow the problem down to a (hopefully) single cause. Once the cause is found, it can be fixed.

Unfortunately as the issue seems to be fairly random it's fairly hard to pin down, especially with the limited tools we have available. As it is we're watching for patterns and triggers, anything that'll allow us to find the cause of the issue and then fix it.

Beleive me, the staff aren't idly sat by twiddling their thumbs, the issue is as frustrating and bloody annoying to the staff as it is to you. It's better all round if our time is spent providing fun things to do, rather than applying temporary solutions to problems.

Players can help us out by letting us know every time it happens, the more information we have the better! Players can also keep an eye out for patterns with the issue in case it's something we've overlooked.

The problem has existed for a while, but only become chronic recently. It seems to be some kind of disconnect in the server database. I suspect Saulus is the only one with the power to fix it, otherwise the DMs would have figured it out by now. I also suspect you're not the only one who feels let down by this, as the server population has been sparse as of late.

I consider myself a faithful devotee to Sundren. I will be the first to admit I am not logging into the game as much as I use to, but that is function of my recent move and the endless things to do.

When I do log into game it is not unusual to find my epic level toon with 0 faction points. Meaning, all of the expensive equipment he is wearing is useless.

So... what is the staff doing about it? I know DMs will assist when they are in game, but this is a problem that as existed for at least a year.

What are we doing about it?
