Necromancers Welcome?

After seeing this more then once I have to ask, are Necromancers now welcome among everyone in Sundren? A person walks around with a skeleton, noone cares and chats with him like nothing is wrong?

When someone attacks the undead creature the Necromancer attacks the person killing them and everyone stands around watching and not caring that he is defending an undead creature, even though he claims not to be a nercomancer.

So has the view on Nercomancers suddenly become acceptable or do people just choose to ignore something because it might get them less xp or get them killed?

This is not directed at the necromancers I have no problem with them but at the people who simply ignore the fact that a person is walking around with an undead creature.

Really it depends on the person. Jaggath doesn't care unless paladins are around then he is with the paladins going "Death to necromancers"

Though if your around any of them good doers do not summon any undead.

My character, Ewan Rice (Known as Jasper) has 2 friends on the whole server, about 4-5 that he sees from time to time that have not been affected by the 'rumors' of necromancy, and most everyone else hates him. I am not 'attacked' on sight. I have done a number of RP sessions where i've been brought in front of the Aquor guard and fined, and killed a number of times. IMO, people sitting around, talking to someone who is accompanied by a skeleton, and the 'skeleton' is not the number one topic of conversation...that's just bad roleplay.

A helmite or faithful of the triad; should they see you summoning or controlling undead out in the wilds. Probably will simply play judge, jury and executioner on the spot. If they actually try to take the time to take you into custody. That's being damn kind.

Because usually when an adventurer takes another to the authorities it becomes a "It's your word vs. his word" And since evidence gathering isn't as sophisticated in Sundren as it is in the real world, not to mention game mechanics water it down even more.

Not to mention the aforementioned faiths from what I've learned HATE undead. You prove yourself to be someone who indulges in such an specialization and it's a rather big no-no.

In short... No, they're not welcome.

It's also worth noting that walking around with an undead near -any- NPC (visible or implied, like an Aquor street even if "apparently" empty) is very bad form. Even if no PC is near to see and react, the reactions of NPCs have to be taken in consideration. Some would run, scream and create a comotion... others would gather a mob... whatever it is, the results would be bad for the would-be necromancer and undead consorts.
