I don't think I really understand how the factions work - if I have a char in the Corps does that mean I have automatically chosen "good"? And thus I can't go evil?
Just like the real world, there are good cops, there are corrupt cops. Good hearted thieves, diabolical magistrates of the law, Baneites who admire a well groomed floral arrangement.

If you like things simple you can pick a faction that overall stands for something and go ahead and stand right along with it... or you can complicate things a bit by having a character with somewhat different views, character flaws, ulterior motives, or debilitating mental disorders...etc.

Just be prepared for any other character reactions or ramifications that might come of it. An evil character pretending to serve the Triad surrounded by paladins all the time might not last very long.

    Have fun!
    Active Characters:

    Roman Miellthorpe -- Crypt Carver
Church -- Bastion priest of the 'tough order'
    Dutch -- Blacksmith
Canus -- Of the Glade Tribe
Gorri Blackbeard -- Dwarf Stout of the Legion

This comment is full of win, and Gorri wins the prize.

I should have been more specific - what I meant was, in the interest of metagaming, if I have a character who has chosen to enter the Corps faction (for example), am I now restricted from entering the *forum* of an evil faction? I thought I read someplace (can't find it) that you can only be in one *forum*. So the only char I have in a faction is in a good faction, thus have I now by default chosen to be in the good *forum*?

I agree that I could double-cross various factions, though this is not overly good for your char's health.

        Thanks.

Edit: I guess what I'm getting at is that I like playing both sides of the coin (not necessarily with the same char), and I'm uncertain which side I'd like to go with in the long run.

I'd like to be in a dwarf faction, sounds awesome! I'll look for you folks.

For the purposes of the Forum, you are only allowed to be a part of -one- faction subforum at any given time. In-game, however, you can be apart of any (or every) faction with different characters.
            Active
Reinamar Stormseeker - The bladestorm that must turn back the wind. Arkerym of The People, practitioner of the forgotten art, pariah.

Tyler Penleigh - Obligatory author insert, Red Blade Defender, sarcastic jerk, caring brother, loving fiancé, war criminal.

            Retired/Dead
Eirimil Gaelazair (Dead)- Bitter. Caustic. Abrasive. Egocentric. Probably right. Found dead in the burned-out Viridale forest a few weeks after the survivors were able to sweep the area after the Bloodmaim offensive. Aside from his usual attire, an intricate music box was the only thing in his possession.

And for added dwarfsomeness, Whurest is also an off-shoot of Clan Battlehammer of Mithral Hall. Just saying.
