You're all spoilt. I have a +1 Falchion and mundane fullplate, and I can't even buff mine to make it better!

And I hear 'Hey, look at our terrible gear, like this pathetic +4 Adamantine Keen Magic Damage sword, and this other puny one that's even worse, look, it's only +3 with +3d4 damage vs. Evil and immunity to low level spells. My spells already do more than that, so logically I should be recieving gear so obscenely powerful that it even outdoes my spells.'

You think they suck so much, give them me! You want to know what the best Falchion in the Warden's store does?

+2 Cold damage, +1d6 Massive Crits, and BLUE LIGHT.

    Want to swap?

    *rage*

I can see that you're reading my posts. Both of them, actually, that pointed out that this weapon is not Triumvirate - it's Blackwood. Here's hoping for 3x a charm, eh?

We don't want better gear. We want gear that compliments what a paladin can already do. Most of the Triumvirate gear that's meant for paladins is just redundant.

Something that looks good in a coffin, then.

I really wasn't kidding when I said I'd take a look at updating the gear. I was mostly kidding about everything else though.

                So... Something that dosen't:

                Give Natural AC
                Increase Str, Con, or Cha
                Increase Armour AC
                Give DR
Be a +5 or lower weapon
                Pierce all DR
                Etc. Etc.

The main strength of Paladins is being able to buff their gear and selfs to the point of extremely potent and powerful fighter gear, and then some, along with their saves and power. In return they don't get the Fighter bonus feats. Adding stuff that means they can take advantage of the gear giving them as much stuff that they can't add themselves, so that they can add all the important stuff as per usual, seems mental.

But heck, I hate all things stackable for win, so don't mind me.

I certainly agree with Kaizen on this one. The Blackwood and Legion Stores have impressive gear when compared to the crap that the Triumvirate has. I think a series of excellent Paladin-only gear should be made, as well as some decent general use stuff.

BTW what paladin spell gives bonuses to natural AC?

Imp Saving throws fear - Paladins are immune to fear. Most clerics in the faction take Domain: Good. The natural armor is nice, but a level 4 paladin spell already gives us +4 (natural) to our AC.

Paladin's get Draconic Might as a Level 4 spell. Still, the duration is a minute perlevel, so max 10 or 14 minutes. =/

Appreciate you diving back into it, Cornuto.

With the Lesser Holy Avenger, the Immunity to Level 2 and Lower Spells property looks neat, but in execution, the only spell it's useful for is...Blinding Spittle. Removing that property drives the cost of the item way down, and if the goal is to have an awesome, super expensive sword, something more useful could be put in its place.

As Kaizen said, a lot of our gear is redundant/useless, as he's shown with pictures and everything. Also, something that we'd really enjoy, going forward, is a helmet or two.

                        Finally, Root:

You mean the nature faction with archers, twf'ers, druids, and barbarians doesn't have a good selection of full plate? Weird. The difference is that your faction doesn't cater to you, and the gear in ours that tries to cater to us is deficient and redundant, especially when compared to that of other factions. A similar situation would be if you were playing a rogue in the Triumvirate. Yeah, there's no gear for you. However, I know that we have a crafting system that could make your falchion +3, with 2d4 divine dmg. v. evil and 2d4(6?) magic dmg. v. undead with room left for a third property. If that sword's mithril, you can give it a Jewel of Reckoning and a Jewel of Dispersion. Grats: your sword's way better than our Lesser Holy Avenger.

You can't make a better equivalent to the Legion's +4 Tower Shield, the Blackwood's +4 Sword, the Veritas' +4 Dodge Boots with +4 Dex, the Banite +4 CHA cloak. You'll never get the kind of hide/move from drops and crafting that you'll get from the Cartel. This ability to be duplicated/exceeded by the crafting system is uniquely the Triad's. Given that faction store loot is supposed to be better than crafting system/loot drops, we've got a few good legs to stand on.

Thanks again, Cornuto. We do appreciate it.

I'm super stoked that yall will be taking another look into this faction store. And I've nothing to add to the debate other then yes, the gear is redundant to both clerics and even moreso to paladins.

Having looked the Banite stuff over pretty well. I would have to say the legion stuff is better and has a larger selection. Best banite weapon is +2. There are no +4 anythings. There is a +2 AC amulet and a +1 strength ring. So don't think you are missing out on anything. And this is not a complaint.

The banite stores could use just very minor tweaking overall, and nothing immediately urgent.

Except for the poor Colibrii and their super sweet bonus store.
