The Triumvirate has monks too. Don't forget about us. That being said, I should find more time to play again. I feel like I haven't been on Sundren for ages.

its all up in the air at this point because you need to code the bloody things.
just for the record its just a stupid opinion.

I imagine that a lot of the minor properties are there for flavor, or to take up enchant slots to prevent using store items to create unplanned for uber-items. Just because a property is there doesn't mean it has to be useful.
Also, +3 weapons, holy avengers and amulets of natural armor (of ANY grade) don't seem like a particularly weak faction store to me. Whurest would be glad to swap stores anytime you like.

Well the dragons you can shapeshift into now are just sad, if you want to make that point. They were nerfed so hard that I was never able to see any use for the form. The damage was 1d4 +9 for their claws, coupled with only about 20 AC and the fact that class does not get spells means that form is rather useless.
edit: Their breath weapon isnt horrible, but it is buggy and still doesn't deliver big damage.

23 base str, 19 base con, +13 natural AC and whatever bonuses you get from items (excluding armour) are the attributes for the level 18 bronze dragon form as a Druid 8/MoMF 10. Bite and Claw weapons are 1d6, with multi attack.
Doesn't seem too shabby to me. Just need to buff yourself or get buffed by someone else, just like everyone else. Can still get plenty of spells with decent duration as a level 8 druid with practiced spellcaster feats.
But that's kind of off-topic.

Though of late, it looks like people are tired of the low/controlled magic level of the server and call to do away with such 'restrictions' so that their characters can become stronger. Then the other side wants to be stronger too, the monsters get rebalanced so they're not such pushovers to the strongest of characters, etc. etc. and before you know it we have +5/+8 items, ancient dragon-shapeshifters and hellballs dominating the surface of Sundren
Though every player should want their character to improve in both stats and in RP standing, I do not think this is a by-the-book case of who wants/gets the bigger cookie. This is a case of making the faction store function as it's intended; provides rewards for faction involvement. It is not a reward if the items are useless to those within the faction, even if the items are theoretically good. The solution proposed wasn't, and shouldn't be to make the items more powerful, but more useful. (Not that I would complain if it's both.)
It is like giving druids a druid only weapon that does +1d8 fire damage, +3 Natural AC, +2 INT, +5 Swim. It's pretty good, theoretically, but in practice, they can perform just as good, if not better, without it. So instead, give them a +1 weapon with +3 spot/listen or something. It's a downgraded item when hailed against the other item, but it has benefits beyond what the druid can provide for himself, or benefits that compound with what he can provide for himself, and far from (overly)powerful ones.
I would also like to mention that higher magic items is not synonymous with a bad player world. I will agree that Sundren has been slowly climbing up higher and higher in the powerful items it provides, but it has also only become better as a PW, especially after experimenting with some strange modifications (read: nerfs) to feats, PrCs, and classes before doing away with them. This is progress in a PW that provides for a broad spectrum of people without sacrificing integrity."Kaeldorn hates players." -Albert Einstein

I'll quote again..

Believe me, I can see where you're coming from when you say that the majority of properties on items you can get are cancelled out by class abilities, or that they sometimes have multiple on use abilities that aren't really useful and that simply up the cost by too much. That sucks and it needs to be looked at (although I wouldn't include natural armour in the sucky list. Just wait until your half caster level draconic might gets dispelled).
The comment about power was more in response to folks complaining that this item in that other faction's store gives a whoppin' +4 and that they should be entitled to it as well. If you're going to balance like that, you might as well give everyone the same items and just change the name, icon and model and be done with it.

i dont mind not having alot of uber stuff in veritas store, but i dont wanna hear complaints other stores suck when they obviously have very nice gear that makes most look like crap.Favorite quote : "Lets see..if they were children, Cirion would be pulling mara's pigtails , Os would be drawling on walls and Grom would be playing with matches."
