Found this while looking for a picture of an archer for my wife... she wanted one with a clothed female elf. Not sure why this showed up.
Evelyn only younger... and without fangs... or wings... or a forked tongue... or eyes that cause suffering when looked upon...

It has been forever and a day since I have done any real artwork aside from the random sketches that get put in here. I'm not that skilled with digital art (which I really need to make myself do more of), but I love doing watercolors. So, I've started on another portrait of Byrun and River that I intend to paint. And because the man's stuff is amazing, whenever I do work like this, I'm always inspired by the work of Yoshitaka Amano.
Anyway, here's the start. I often like to post progress shots because it allows me to stop, take a break, get feedback, and look at the art with a different eye. Also, if I lull, people can then badger me to get my ass back at it.

I've met Yoshitake Amano. He was at DragonCon many years back. I got him to sign a book of artwork for me. Found dead in the burned-out Viridale forest a few weeks after the survivors were able to sweep the area after the Bloodmaim offensive. Started painting. Yes, right now River's hair is red, not brown. Mostly because with watercolors you have to put layer on layer on layer... in other words, it'll get there. I'm also painting at my fireplace, and it's an atrocious mess- because I do not have an art table any more. We make do, yo.
