Anyone know how to rip the model data of a char from NWN2 and convert it for use in Maya, Modo, or (3ds)Max? Although, now I'm totally going to steal your humanmaking software idea: I hate trying to make organic models, musclestructure be damned! [Edit: Although I'm probably going to make James a model in Maya. no muscles to worry about ^_^]

Here's some programs that are used to converting the file types. I don't do any modeling myself so I can't say which is best, but this is what a quick Google search found. :P

Personally I tend to use the MDB<>OBJ converter tools (the first one linked in Rhifox's post) then chuck the results into Maya/3DS for the inevitable cleanup (UVs. Seems Obsidian tended to do some rather odd things with their UV layouts so you end up having to do a little tidy up on them if you're planning on doing retexturing work).
Getting stuff back into the game is a little more complex (and teeth gnashy) depending on what it is you're trying to bring in (Retextures are easy, rigged stuff less so) but will either require an older copy of 3ds (2009 at the latest for the stuff on the vault, but there is a version of the Expotron compiled for later releases of 3ds, up to 2012. 2013 takes the normal Autodesk approach to Plugin retro-compatibility and ensures they won't work).
If anyone really wants I can slap together the workflows I've used on retextures and new objects, though I'd probably be covering old ground for many.

Anatomy and muscle structure is essential for every even vaguely humanoid shape, be it organic or inorganic. It's not really all that hard to get the basics nailed - It's all just ropes, pulleys and supporting structure! Good anatomy makes mechs look awesome and armour look fantastic. Not so bad for making critters as well!It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

Say, does anyone know someone who might be willing to do some character portraits? I'd try, but when I try, it looks like you left a pen with a monkey with ADD and also has a massive twitching problem. I'm looking to get a portrait made of Elmer, Aramil, and Allan. We can axe if we want to, leave that sword behind. Because your friends don't axe, and if they don't axe then they're no friends of mine.

Myrkul?...
Alright, I think that I may have found a temporary picture for Elmer. That first picture fits him better than most other images I've found. We can axe if we want to, leave that sword behind. Because your friends don't axe, and if they don't axe then they're no friends of mine.

That mother fucker looks like a boss, son.Lauan - knight of Thay " I have no fear, and death is merely an inconvenience to me. I do not die until ordered to do so, I do not fall until every last bit of life has left me. I stand tall, proud, a Thayan knight."

I see you remembered my words.
Mexican crossed with Lando Calrissian.. I did also suggest that you should consider that Lando had been let loose ina cake shop.. his face isnt quite as fat as the real thing.. but then if I had such an evil mofo staring at me during a painting session I thin kI would be wanting to keep him happy too!
But seriously mang.. kudos.. much awesomness.Until I can somehow magically discover, hitherto unknown, skills to make a nice looking sig pic to represent my main chrs -
I primarily play Ignus Pyre and Smithy
