Tymora. Gotta go with Tymora.
I like her because luck can deal with -anything-, it's easy if you're having trouble picking a diety, and if you're ever wishing somebody luck, following Tymora makes it that much better!
Also, it might be because alot of my characters are care-free risk takers that are 75% always drunk and/or relaxed and/or making a joke, and only 25% serious, so they'd want luck alot. Maybe that's why I always like haflings, the care-freeness of them. hmm.
Drado Tangelle- A miscreant hafling with an interest in magic.
Hoar has been a favorite of mine since I've created a rakshasa mercenary in PnP. We'll give him the award for Favored Neutral Deity. On the evil spectrum, I love Bane. He is just so tyrannical, dominating, and evil. Plus, I believe he hates his worshippers, almost akin to the way Orcus does. Wonderful. Favored Evil Deity. I usually don't make a lot of "good" characters, so I'm not well-informed in that department. However, if I had to choose, my favorite good deity is Torm. He rides a dragon; enough said.
Honestly, if I had to choose out of those three, I would pick Bane as my favorite Faer?n deity. I can't help but like gods that hate their worshippers more than their enemies.
And no, I am not counting baatezu and tanar'ri in this equation. If I did, I think you all know who I would choose.
"Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth -- more than ruin -- more even than death.... Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid. Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man." - Bertrand Russell
A lot of the plots I've DM'ed over the years have revolved around Shar as the baddie behind them, but for most of the PC's I've made, the choice is Selune - especially my Rangers.
