What PRC would you like to see next?

Actually I didn't know what black flame zealot was at first. I think it would be a really cool class

Considering druid shapeshifting is really lousy for anything but RP, I think a PRC like master of many forms would either be unimpressive, or it would really make druids long even more for their shapeshifting to be actually worthwhile. I also think it would be extremely difficult to implement and do justice to the many possibilities it offers, and I think many things would still be technically impossible.


So I voted for mystic theurge, a much more general and interesting PRC than the others, and it should be technically feasible and much more rewarding with the implementation.

Shapeshifting of any kind (druid or arcane) is (usually) just plain stupid, at least in NWN. I already dislike that you change into something that is 10x small/bigger than you actually are. But you also keep your equipment on and carry your inventory with you.

So you transform into a weasel, travel around for hours and when you transform back all your equipment is still with you? In RL or PnP you would usually have to take off all items before you can shapeshift. But in NWN....*shakes his head and sighs*

PNP :

Any gear worn or carried by the druid melds into the new form and becomes nonfunctional. When the druid reverts to her true form, any objects previously melded into the new form reappear in the same location on her body that they previously occupied and are once again functional. Any new items worn in the assumed form fall off and land at the druid's feet.

PNP seems to allow for it by merging the items, even if it is into a small shape that would in the real world, not be able to carry those items. But D&D isn't the real world and supernatural abilities are the norm. Laws of Pyshics and relativity are broken on a normal occurence here.

As for them staying equipped? Obsidian chose to make use of a item property transfer code, that deal with effects on items transferring to the new form IF they are compatible only. (ie your new form can wield weapons, then the powers of your equipped weapon would carry over, etc.)

Hmmm... maybe it is allowed in the standard. But it was never allowed when i played.

I don't have a problem with magic missles, fireballs, death spells that drain your life or magical potions. And the fact that you have learned to controll your body to a degree that allows you to transform into somethign else...why not?. But why should that fact that you can controll your body have an effect on your items? How can you keep the power of ring that you cannot wear anymore because you don't have any fingers anymore?

But this is getting off topic. Let the poll decide...
