I'll be buying it naturally... even though I despise epic levels. Hopefully Sundren will stick to 1-20.

I feel the same way as grumblecake here. Level 20 is GREAT! So many possibilities, and folks still have to band together to achieve a goal. At most, I'd hope we only go 1 to 5 levels into epic territory, and even then with considerable time and effort.

I've been on a server where it took massive amounts of time and effort to get even one epic level, which (IMHO) was great. I think they even restricted it so that epic characters could only get RP experience.

But I think all this talk of epic levels is getting a little of topic, no? The thread is about the NWN2 expansion. Perhaps somebody should start a new thread dedicated to epic level discussion.

Undoubtedly. I love D&D, and lack of PnP in my whereabouts means Neverwinter Nights is the closest I can get to PnP. I will most likely buy every expansion Obsidian hurls out, and, if it happens, Neverwinter Nights 3. >_>

I probably won't buy it for the single-player campaign that comes with it, but for the coding, extra features, new content, etc. that will come with it. For that matter, I didn't buy NWN2 for the OC, either, but as a vehicle to play on a PW with my friends.

I hope no one will ever reach epic lvls :P

And I cant see why I shouldnt buy the expansion.

The level 30 cap in the expansion will be no easy thing to attain, beyond level 20 players can only gain XP from DMs.

I wasn't too keen on the epic levels either, but the above sounds like a very good compromise.

dm xp is a good idea to get past 20, but what i dont understand is why no one likes going past 20? in all the years of playing nwn1 i only ever got past 20 once or twice, but the prospect of it, i found exciting. just my two bits but, when my character maxes out, i usually find its time for them to meet their maker in some sort of way, I look at the end of their leveling as somewhat of the end of their life span. I know not everyone does, but I do. So with that said, I love the epic levels.

If only to add more content for the multiplayer scene, then of course! Let's hope they can pull a third one after this one.

Epic levels I am not so excited about just as some of you also agree on. But then a cap can always be placed on that... Nevermind, everyone's about said what I was going to say.

                                Cheers!
