it may be fancy but even with my tech skills i am nearly clusless how to run most programs everything i do on my com is self taught. from running emulaters and games to checking e-mail, Not-Pron relly helped me. alot.

Not-Pron is a web site designed to drive you crazy and teach you to use a computer until you fry your brain.

P.S. I'm getting woo-hoo'ed on the price of the thing so it may be a 2000$ but i'm paying like 2500. bi-weekly payments of 78$ is killing me but helping my credit grow.

Yes they have. Greatest tweaks for stability and speed are turning off all things concerning shadows. This holds true for even the people with super computers, 15-25 fps is nothing to scoff at.

Also, texture quality/resolution is a huge memory hog so try dropping it next after shadows. Shaders are not a very big memory hog as they tend to be low resolution and bloom and HDR are less costly than Antialiasing, while still offering some blending and edge softening. They can slow down scene rendering for less powerful cards so do consider disabling them anyway.

Try reducing any programs running in the background like Virus scanners and even Defragmentation program that are set to defrag in schedules periods you may have forgot/aware of.

Those programs eats some RAM memory which could trigger possibility of crash.

LOL you just listed all the graphics settings I insist on having on high. I run a GeForce 8800GT and have 4Mb of 800mhz RAM and I have few crashes, though they do happen.

I'm running a ATI Radeon HD 4800 and and 4 GB RAM. I still crash, DM Client, lockups in area transitions, and whenever I alt tab. NwN2 is a very unstable game, crashes are going to happen no matter your specs.

I'm just now getting my brother on the game, he has a pretty older computer, still running xp. The game would lock up - but every other game would not. The reason being that for some reason, of all games, NwN overheated his video card. (Btw, we ended up taking off the side panel and giving it some can-of-air-treatment. He had not cleaned it out for quite a while and there were dust bunnies clogging up the fans. Worked perfectly afterwards.)

Like I said, in that regard it is not a very stable game.

strangely enough the stability of my NWN2 dramatically increased when I started playing in window mode. Don't know if this is something that will help others though, NWN2 is generally supposed to become less stable in windows mode but could be wort a shot i guess...
