Yashia is right in that they most certainly would not commit any evil deeds or something that would lead to such, no matter what laws they followed.

I already stated it, its a double standard, if the law permits something evil like Slavery, sure he wont uphold it but he will tolerate it.

I've yet to see anyone log on a different character to carry on a IC/OOC fight, which to me, sounds like griefing. Not saying they don't do it, but damn, that just seems to be such an obvious no-no.

Its common sense that they would, If they didnt they would be killed in a instant please, dont act over zealous.

The follow the current society's law to the best of their abilities, while upholding their own beliefs.

The whole notion of a Paladin being able to live under Bane's laws ends up being trivial anyway, as the only reason a Paladin would be in a place like Zhentarim Keep would be either a daring mission, or his/her own execution.

Paladins do not have to be stupid. Lawful Good is misunderstood as much as Chaotic Evil is(and in some cases, all types of evil). Paladins don't follow every law the world offers.

Lawful does not mean following the laws of society. It means following a code of laws. A paladin can oppose a society if its laws are directly in opposition to his own code of conduct.

A paladin could certainly be part of a rebellion, and even lead one, if the society he is rebelling against represents laws and morals that are strictly against what his own code of conduct dictates as 'right'. A law has to be 'right' for a Paladin to follow it. They don't follow laws just for the sake of following laws.

So what your saying is its pointless to play a Paladin, because a Paladin would not support a law that goes against his or her dogma, yet they will fall for not supporting such law.

True , True, but in most cases paladins will still tolerate the laws, they are not stupid people, come on really realisticly speaking a paladin will not start a rebelion in a Tyranical society, hes no stupid. sure he may "Follow" His own code. But that dosent mean he wont tolerate Evil to an extent for the greater good, IE his survival.

I would think that in some (possibly many) cases Paladins will follow the laws of their chosen religion above all else. And if the laws of men go against said religion they would effectively say "Screw that" and do all in their power to change it, or possibly remove certain peoples from power... In other words I think it is acceptable for a Paladin, in some cases, to not follow the laws of men... Though traditionaly most laws are modeled after select beliefs common amongst many religions about murder and such. To sum that rambled crap up... Its all about CIRCUMSTANCES.

Of course that is only my opinion.. Which really doesnt mean much.

Agreed... Now can we go back to the real issue at hand?

• Do not ignore NPCs-- If you do something evil around NPCs, think about how they would react. Don't stand around as though no one witnessed your actions. Get into a fight at Exigo? Run for the hills afterwards. Kill someone in Sundren City? Well, more than likely you'd be caught by a Legionairre, so just don't do it.
• Keep your emotes restricted to your own thoughts and actions-- I don't want to hear any more complaints about bad emotes, please. You cannot put words / thoughts onto other people. You are not superheroes, so don't do weird things you don't have the proper feats for doing, like having your eyes glow when you look someone over. And keep the emotes IN-CHARACTER: no more meshing of OOC frustrations into IC emotes.
• Learn to love evil-- You don't have to play evil to love it. We support it here. If you have different expectations on roleplay, then maybe Sundren isn't the right home for you.
• NEVER EVER switch characters to carry over IC or OOC conflict-- BIG TIME NO-NO. I thought this one was common sense. There is just way too much room for oversight and unfair reactions when you do this. If you get into a conflict with someone using PC A, PC B should not then come after the same person. THIS IS HARRASSMENT and will be dealt with harshly.
