In honor of the third season of Heroes (Chapter 3: Villains)...

    *signs the petition*

Look for my villain to be coming soon. I'm going to make a lackey and find some BBEG to hang with.

Keep in mind if you carebear villains, they won't be very villain-ey.

Yeah, agreed with Hano. Some of the suggestions are great. Some of them, not so much.

Villains have to be smart. If they continuously get caught with stuff, well, there's only so much you can OOCly forget.

I do like the general sentiment here though

Part of the problem with Evil vs Good PCs is that everyone wants to hang out in the same place. Not only does this mean anyone who wants to hang out somewhere different will be all alone, it means that every evil PC *needs* to have a "good-guy" exterior. Not everyone wants to play nice but these people end up soloing and getting bored a lot.

So here's my suggestion. Jimmy's dice den is an area specifically designed to be "less than wholesome". When your evil PC is chilling out and RPing peacefully, go there and play with other evil people who you can threaten the peace of Sundren with, rather than pretend to be a nice guy and act all OOC. If not Jimmy's then why not agree on somewhere different? The Menacing Mariner? Shar's Abaddon? The Four Lanterns? Take your pick, there's plenty of beautifully designed and painstakingly created areas that people rarely ever visit.

I personally just find it very odd how all the adventurers want to play together. If I don't like someone or disagree with everything they ever say, I'd find somewhere else to chill.

The benefits of this would be twofold: First it would make people more inclined to make evil characters. Rather than interracting with the bad guys all the time, there would be a sense of mystery about "how the other side do it".

Second, it would give the good guys somewhere to go to dig for the down and dirty info. You know the place, that bar in almost every movie where the good guys go, wearing a big hat where they mysteriously know the barman and all the evil people are drinking and whispering quietly, but no-one knows anything worth telling until there's money involved...

                  That's my two cents anyway.
Lorlen Locke: "Amazing how the righteous commit acts of tyranny and terror almost as beautiful as our own under their banner of "good". We merely call a spade a spade."

"If you can't learn to do something well, learn to enjoy doing it poorly."

This thread is kinda a moot point.. Evil is alive and well in Sundren

Evil and alive in one person, you. But yes, he is quite evil.

Eaither way, I Forgot to put it in my post, but another suggestion was that people leave the EXigo fire camp every once and awhile for heavens sake, so that we don't even need to carebear villans.

While I do agree with Hano/Phantom lamb/Uri to an exent, I also think that some of this petition should be carried out to a extent, which is why I signed it.

But its just an opinion of mine, and my opinions are always shaky ones at best x.x

I think some horrible disaster should blow the shit out of the exigo camp and it should take a long time for them to rebuild ....

AKA an IC excuse to remove the area for a few weeks to a month and have the players explore other areas of the world for christ sakes :P ... merchants/quest givers could setup shop in the city temporarily ... etc etc ...

I'd support that "solution" or one similar heh.

We were at Sestra, then a failed attack on Cirion by Vader, Uktar and myself managed to get us ran out of there. So, we went to the zone with the snow north of Aquor (can't remember the name). Then one of my spoiled plans to capture a cleric of helm for the Ice Queen got me scared to go there.

I've used Jimmy's, but people won't seem to make two zones to hang out. Another big issue is that good guys will just show up out of the blue. Which is cool 'cause we need the good guys for RP too. But, they tend to be bullies when they walk up on us. Which, if they have IC reason for believing we're up to something, then by all means, begin the inquisition.

I'm not really complaining about the life of a bad guy. I'm just stating my experiences. However, if anyone sees me on, I'm generally hanging out by myself and up to no good. Generally, if you see me in the Post, I'm causing trouble (for which I've been harrassed, and fined, etc). So, you're more than welcome to send me a tell to find out where I'm hanging out should you want to drum up some bad guy RP (suppying you have IC reason to believe my character is a bad guy - which isn't that hard, since I'm always giving the paladins a hard time...calling them names, like Hanonites!)

I do still use Sestra along with a couple of others...and there's the dragon's mawl (I won't OOC where that one is since it's the coolest spot to hang out, pretty much).

Anyway, just my 2 pennies...now can I have my change?

Oh, yeah...I'm Larando, and I support this thread. *signs* (Again, I refer you to my sig below).

Why is it that all of you are going about it the wrong way? The best way to be a villain is to start OUT a good guy, then wait for (Or incite) some traumatic event that makes them lose faith in their god/turn their eyes from the light/oppose the laws of man... Also, that way, your true friends from when you were a good guy might actually try to save your soul, rather than burn you at the stake... As for Drow and tieflings though... you're screwed.
