    He does, and if you don't know what they are then I'll not say them ( not just you Llew as in the plural "you" ) he uses a different player name and a different name as Dev, and from here on I'll never use his dev name or his player name in a thread again.

    I'd also like to say that Verrath is getting some rep for me for being so good a friend as to back up her friend ( me ) and the people who made this world ( the DM team ).

    Also.. has anyone gone through and done a close inspections of the really belligerant people on this thread, vs the people ( not the Dev team just to be fair ) who are either constructive or attempting to explain the reasons why? I'd like to give my opinion if you have less than 25 posts do you really want a third of them to be about griping?
    Lately the only thing that keeps me from wishing for a worldwide disaster... is that it would probably interrupt my network connection

I'm guessing the XP only comes for unlocking areas through direct transitions, not from unlocked map pins then moving to that location.       Not receiving XP was a bug I have since fixed.

        Oh and sorry about my post being mentioned on several others, by the time I wrote it like 3 others had posted =/. And I waded through a good number of the responces, but i think i skipped a page? Thanks Sharringtom for everything.

            hope my original post was taken as constructive suggestions as opposed to dissenting. thanks for implementing recommendations so quickly. how easy is it to help with dialogs? i could probably lend a hand if the workload is heavy for you guys. let me know.


            to other DEVS and DM's,

            i, personally, like the idea of unlocking map areas for the reasons already given. props to you guys. i'm honestly impressed by the work being done. for a beta, this place rocks. can't wait for the finished product.

              *would retaliate, but is under a standing threat of thread deletion for dissenting posts*

              But eh... I can see why they did what they did. And I feel much better about it after some sleep and time to ponder on it.

                Just wanted to stick my oar in here. I had only Exigo trading post and the port open when I logged this morning, and in about 3 hours of rewarding wandering and chatting I've opened nearly every area, and what's more earned nearly half a level of exp to boot. Also, I'm 5,000 stags better off from the killing and reward money involved in the little quests. I'd never really bothered with proper quests until now, preferring to RP and sweep through areas like the forest with other players. Now I actually have a reason to know my way around Sundren.

                Damn you guys moan a lot. Kudos devs for putting up with this and not throwing your hands up!

                  I noticed that Vani at the trade post dosent give me dialog to open up to open the forest map. Her name is in green but she only want to sell me stuff. On another point i agree with Azathoth51 there a little bit. Im being forced to talk to folks and enter cities when my PC dosent want to. I understand that soon it will be changed and we can roam the roads. right?

                    No, there's not going to be any roads to roam. And if you don't want to talk to the NPCs... no one has a gun to your head.

                    When I'm playing the campaign in any game, I can choose at any time to just not talk to a NPC because I don't want to. Of course the game likely won't progress depending on the NPC but that's freedom of choice.

                    There will be and is more than one way to unlock map points.

                                Okay... so we all have to look at the bright side of life...

                                I did manage to get some interesting RP in with my Druid in his search for the forest grove... so maybe you guys really DO know what you are doing.

                                And believe me... getting me to admit this is a rare occurrence.
