Hello, am new here and was looking for a quick rundown on character restrictions. Did catch the post on Asmer/Drow. Anything else I need to know?

Jandar Snow - Cleric of Justice (with a little weakness for alcohol/women/song/etc)
Llorimar Snow - A young Druid, forced to find himself before joining the Circle

Not that I can think of that doesn't fit basic RP Rules (CE helping paladins and frolicing around in pink.).

Good questions; this is FR after all- what about paladin or monk multiclasses that are restricted in canon FR, etc? Or non Mielikki worshipping druids wearing metal armor (classic powergaming build)?PC - Corwin Eska'las (Sun Elf pursuing the dream of becoming a Bladesinger)
Alt PC - Brevin Smoothands (meticulously groomed half orc bard swashbuckler... sort of... sings great, less fighting)

Need some help here
Remember you are responding to a noobe's question. I didn't see anything that told me that there are any special dieties on Sundren...is this correct?
Is there a minimum number of levels you must play a class? Or can you do a Pally/s/RDD/ with one level of Sorc?
Based on a forum I saw, maybe a figher/cleric or pally/cleric might work from a party perspective. Is there any type of build seriously lacking from a party perspective?Jandar Snow - Cleric of Justice (with a little weakness for alcohol/women/song/etc)

Dieties.
Actually I am torn as to the character to play. I typically have either played a Pally or Cleric but have decided to maybe try something different. I don't mind doing another cleric if the world is short of them....I typically prefer a melee focused cleric...but have chosen earth and heal as domains because of the benefits.
I did post a note looking for some ideas on a build for a mercenary, bodyguard, bounty hunter type character which I would play as a Nuetral.
But am open to any ideas as I have all of about 10 mins on Sundren...heck I am not even sure what to do yet.Jandar Snow - Cleric of Justice (with a little weakness for alcohol/women/song/etc)

As far as I know, besides the ECL races, there are no other restrictions. Although it does make sense for a Druid to not be wearing fullplate....and yes, I have seen that, and when my character asked this person in the game, they only responded with "Because I want to"--I dunno, seems a little...bah
(Even though, I had my druid wear scale mail, but RPed it as it being scale made from pieces of flint and other NATURALLY hard, non-metalic substances that he fashioned himself because he was the son of an armorer and learned a little of the trade)"The Weave is the source of all magic in Faerun, and I would give my life to protect it!"
Selene Canadiel--Knight of the Weave
"I have failed you once....I will not fail you again!"
Sylvanas Kathar--Thayan Knight

In my own opinion theres nothing wrong with powerbuilding as long as you roleplay. If you powerbuild and refuse to roleplay and break rules and grief players, then its definitely a problem. But why should powerbuilding be such a problem if you like it for your character to be strong? This is a roleplay server, so roleplay is definitely required. But it shouldn't be a roleplay, anti-powerbuilding server, as that would be way too hardcore."My dual blades shall seek those who defy nature's art. For the spirit of the forest lives within my heart."

Powerbuild all you want, as long as you RP it out as you build it. Low Charisma, Low Wisdom, etc etc.
As for druids with metal, I think I read that was dependant on the Druid organization. It's sort of difficult not to wear metal in NWN2 because of the whole "Every armor above medium is metal" deal.

I think there is a comon misconception between a powerful character and a 'munchkin' type powerbuild.
To get the best out of thier character and have a strong sturdy composition of abilities and skills is what we all seek in our characters. This could be something simple like having a drop stat (one ability below 10), or taking a couple levels in fighter to get 3 attacks. Or also, taking a few levels in wizard in order to meet the requirements for arcane archer. This is all done to generate a moderately powerful character and doesn't step out of the realm of logic for a character's background story.
On the otherhand, there are folks who take this to an extreme. IE, the 18/2 Sorcerer/Paladin (or other variant) that uses the 2 levels of Paladin to only gain divine grace or divine shield and optimal saving throws. How do you explain this IC? "I was walking home from Mage School and I bumped into Luke Steel (a humble Paladin), now I have Oober saving throws and lots of AC!" Eh, no.
Also there are Druids typically using one level of Monk to gain the AC bonus from the widom modifier. Not that Druids don't get plenty of AC but you have to rape the Monk class to get more? Monks are inhabitants of monestaries who train themselves to fight without armor or weapons, not Leet Druids looking for uncanny AC or Evasion.
In summary, there is a slight difference between building a powerfull character within the scope of logic for the character's background and lifestyle and min/maxing a 'munchkin' sort of build to create a character that would have power beyond the norm. This has nothing to do with being an anti-powerbuilder, it has to do with respect to others involved in an role-playing environment with you.

FRCS in the Druids section on Classes in the first chapter describes Mielikki as the only goddess who permits her druids to wear metal. Even that is restricted to medium armors (which means the heaviest would be breastplate). Neither in FRCS nor F&P does Kossuth's entry mention permitting druids anything special concerning metal.
Druids lose spellcasting and wildshape abilities for 24 hours for violating their oaths by wearing forbidden armors according to the PHB.

So far there's no minimum levels to take for a class. And choose a build that makes sense for you in terms of roleplaying.
