You can only lose levels if you're level 10 or greater. And people say they are fearful... this is good! You don't have to get killed adventuring. My last character made it to level 15 with a total of two deaths while adventuring; once getting blown up by one of his companions (not sure if this counts) and the second time because I really wanted to see inside those caves in Sestra (I knew how that was going to end ), and the penalties weren't so nasty back then (I tried to avoid getting snuffed as a matter of style rather than fear of penalties). If your group want to go somewhere hideously dangerous... maybe point out IC "Whoah, hold up, that might not be a good idea. Can we really handle that?". I've gotta say, some people don't die at all and still manage to get experience and levels and stuff.

I just ran into the Death pent. finaly. That just royaly sucked. I role-play alot in groups when we go out and battle but lately thoses i role-play aint around and area's i fight normaly has no one in it. Personaly i found it annonying that i lost exp after hours of work, makes me not want to play at all. It sucks not being able keep up with some friends that go places you sure as hell cant because of things like this. Yes i know it a RP server but sorry, i dont want sit around a camp fire all night just typing. I like adventuring, fighting and RPing all at once.

I can't believe I didn't catch this thread and nuke it earlier. This is another dead horse filed under "I don't agree with Sundren XP/death penalties".

Sorry, it's not going to change.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
