You know, it's odd, but would it be fair to say that winning RPer of the month and having the option to create a new restricted race character is made less useful for the winner by the fact that everyone loves their original character? No one would deny the winner their right to create a new character, but relationships form between characters that would surely be cause for the winner not to use their prize, perhaps for months, perhaps ever.

Anyway, I guess I'm just a silly old moth thinking aloud.

Your point is valid, but it also means that these people are strong role players who can handle the special circumstances that many ELC races find themselves in. Not just anyone should play a Drow, or instance, and when someone who has won this award applies for one I'm confident that they'll handle playing this special character as well as they played their other.

It is quite possible that they won't use their custom race right away, or ever. But that's their choice. Many residents of Sundren go their entire lives without seeing one of these unique races--they're that rare.

And to be honest, this is a fair way to do it. We don't pick favorites, we don't go on first come first serve. We don't have to read over hundreds of applications every week. Instead, we let our population and staff nominate the people who deserve it.

Well, the problem of favouritism will still be there in cases where players vote for their friends, but no system is perfect and I'd rather see the most diplomatic system put in place every time.

I have a quick question. I already have a fire Genasi that i applyed for going back months ago, and got. I Played him for awhile at the start but i haven't touch him sense but maybe one or two times.
I was wondering if there is a posiblity if i could give up his slot, to the list of closed races here for another to get a crack at, while in return i could play another race (Mainly the Svirfneblin) as long i give another profile on them like i did to get the Genasi.
