Currently, I think it will be really tough voting. There are a number of characters that I have come across that I would vote for, so it will be hard to boil it down to just two.

The positive thing is that a player can only win this once a year, which opens this to other players.

And yes, voting for yourself I think would be in poor form.

How will the custom item appearance option work? Will you just give us something that looks unique, or will we be able to show you exactly what we want, and then have you give it to us?

For the custom items, you can either describe what you want via PM, or you can create the ERF yourself and we'll import it after a review.

One win per year per character. Players can win more than once if they have multiple characters.

When a 'character' wins a closed race, that is used to make a new character right? (I would assume so but you have been saying the character wins x instead of the player wins x).

I think it is for people with more than one character. Each character counts as a separate vote.

My point was that you're not voting for a player (read: human being), but rather for a character. If I have a character named Bob and a character named Steve, Bob AND Steve can each win once in the course of a year. If Bob wins in Feb 08, the next time he can win is Feb 09.

If Bob, my character, wins role player of the month, I as a player will then have the right to create a NEW character using one of the closed races.

Right, what I meant was they say character wins x, but if they pick a race it's used to make a new character with correct? Not something like changing that character's race via some in game mojo magic.

Role-playing should not be rewarded, in my opinion, Role-playing in itself is the reward. I certainly don't role-play just so I can rate myself against other players.

Sure, you roleplay to have fun. But a good roleplayer does more than just have fun. He increases the fun for the other players too. And that is much more important than the fact that he has a good time. So a little reward doesn't do any harm in my oppinion.

I'd venture a guess that said character would simply not get created, or maybe pass on the creation right?

Say we win and don't want our prizes right away. How long can we delay getting an item and how long do we retain that eligibility for a special race?
