First off I should say that I think highly of Aries, GRCrush and others who are a part of this band of elves. Whenever I log onto Sundren I usually check if any of their characters are on as I know I will enjoy some enriching Role-Play with them while smiling to myself. I however did have an encounter that upset me OOC, however that is bound to happen in any multi-player game setting.

I would think that OOC considerations for the other people you are playing on a server with should come first. That in effect is what binds a community together and shows what kind of a person you are. Forcing PvP or Role-play that others may not want to take part in is not a way to uplift the community as a whole.

I do enjoy on a personal level the idea of a band of wild-elves that will kill people according to their own beliefs, it's just when the other people are players I get kind of worried as to how this benefits the server. There are a lot of things I could do to justify my own characters Role-Play, and I personally would take great enjoyment in, but I know OOC it would upset or ruin other peoples time that they have to spend in a video game relaxing and or escaping the real world. It is never a good idea to enjoy yourself on a Role-Play server at the expense of others enjoyment, that is what Action/Arena/PvP servers are for. Therefore I really do believe that if you guys want to keep this band up and running try sending Tells before hand to the people you are playing with, ask them if they want to participate or not. See if they are up for it, if not I would suggest just letting them go on their merry little way.

I hope you take my words as my personal feelings and not what I consider the rules.

I have to agree with you on that Gairun, to tell you the truth I've had a whole lot of RP experiences on this server where I wished someone would have sent a tell first, but instead I don't really get anything. Especially where pvp possibilities are a concern. One thing I don't understand really is that regardless if these elves think it's right or wrong, it isn't against the sundren laws to leave a corpse behind (i.e. the trash bags) but attacking some body for this is against the law. So if numerous people have been attacked by them (including my two main characters) and the stories were some what reported/rumored/ etc. that these elves are plaguing travelers in the hills and forest, I have to wonder why no official action by the sundren government has been taken, whether it be staging a hunting party, posting a small bounty, or sending a few guards in to the hills to check it out?

Or why haven't the player characters launched an offensive? That might be a nice little battle to plan. Get two teams of 4 together and bring it on!

I've probably said this about a thousand times but, performance wise and server-wise it doesn't matter. We have cleanup scripts, clutter isn't an issue. It hasn't been since the early early beta days.

If you're talking about stuff on the ground being considered trash and in a sense littering... well... I think that's one of those game mechanics we just have to forgive and ignore.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

I personally saw them get a "one and done" from the keeper of the grove for their actions. The Dms are involved in this, but like in real life, they can't be everywhere everytime. Plus those wild/wood elfs (or whatever they are, they all look the same to me) are sneaky gits and hard to find.

Well, if no one starts one soon, and if they cross Orrick again maybe he'll get mad enough to do something about it

While walking along a trail, Jack felt a sudden, inexplicable urge to litter as much as possible.

If I was there, your best shot wouldn't count for much. Count yourself fortunate, littering fiends!

With that said, I think this matter is really quite simple. RP. Done.

If your character doesn't care for nature or other people, litter. If he cares for one of the aforementioned and not the other, he could go either way depending on the people, and if he cares about both, he will probably not litter whatsoever. And if he is a Druid or Ranger, he should even be offended by the litter and corpses.

You and your character know the consequences to your actions. You both know it can get violent to defy a bunch of wild elves in a forest, brandishing weapons and making demands that you refuse to acknowledge. If you or your character don't want that, you either comply with the demands, or run. Even if your character is an inconsiderate prick, he might still logically pick up the crap and take it away, if only to avoid a fight. It depends on his priorities. Does he really hate nature so much that he is willing to die over litter that he won't throw out? Or does he prefer peace, to making some kind of obnoxious declaration of anti-nature perspective.

                      Just RP...

One thing to consider is Sundren law does not necessarily extend to the forests. If you notice the fort, it stops before you actually get into Viridale. Same with Shaharan hills, there is an Exigo post, but no Sundren guards.

Therefore, Sundren law does not extend to the forests, thus all the gnolls, goblins, ogres, and occasional trolls in the forests.

Also, if you really don't want to be bothered with this RP, you can send a Tell and I am sure we would honor your request to be left alone. Also, if you don't want it to end up as PVP, we can also, I am sure, roleplay that out also.

If i remember correctly Dagorn already had it out with these elves, and it went 50/50 for how the rp was taken,.we have our differences in how things should have played out, but in the end if you insult / Tell a person what too do / Spit on there foot/ and then cast entaglement at there feet...well it goes very quickly down hill...althought i thought it was quite fun the whole way

Specially hacking at the tree while laughing and trying to piss the wild elves off some more then they already was 8D

What I was getting at Pagan was the idea that if your going to engage in Role-Play that may upset other people perhaps you should be the one sending the tells first, instead of putting the responsibility on your victims. To me that would make sense all around, as a little OOC consideration goes a long way in the digital world of NWN2.

Maybe they could add a trash barrel at the Fort in Mossclaw for ooc reasons.

The auto-cleanup script would take care of stuff pretty quickly (ooc-ly).
