Talia was that kind of bandit at first, before the new death systrem. My whole objective was to get her perm'd after 3 weeks since she robbed almost EVERY Pc on the server once a day with Sleight of hand (rules applying), swearing, and insulting almost everyone that looked at her. There were threats, PVP, even assaults on her that would of semi perm'd her if the system was how it is currently. But, her actions turned into something else entirely unplanned thanks to alot of great players.

I think, if your intent is too encourage the on going Rp/lore of the server with your bandit group then thats cool. If you are doing it just to take the place of disposable NPC and PVE situations, then I think thats best left to the DMs for a multitude of reasons.
    Currently playing:

Thalissa spellsword of Red Knight: "Flank, Flank!!"

Talia Callahan: "What te fuck are ye lookin at!!?" Spits

Caldur the Grey Doomguide to Kelemvor: "The trouble with youth is that you think you have time."

          Expedious retreat + invis, then

Also if you intend on getting 10-12 players thats half the server population on a normal session. So having half the server as a "evil player run faction" might be problematic with the direction the server lore is going.

Sounds like fun! (If you lived long enough to cast the spell or read it from a scroll then use a potion)

What Infernal Havok is saying is absolutely true, however. But, given what your mortality rate is going to be, as well as the fact that everyone who's not you on the server regardless of alignment is going to kill you on sight ... it probably wont be an issue.

My suggestion is rp your way into banditry as you gain levels, rather than form a large group OOC and pop into the game as a premade group. This is an rp server after all.

One greater fireburst owns 12 bandits :P
Sacrifice everything as the final darkness falls... in the end, all that awaits you is death. Only then will you understand - you've been following in my footsteps all along.
So come then, you heroes! Come in all your power and glory! For in the final hour, all must serve the one... true... king.

Ahhh all this talk of banditry reminds me of the Greatest bandit to ever grace the lands of Sundren, way back in the Halcyon days, His name was Urthak Thunk, and for the longest time he was the orc scourge of the viridale forest, where he would stand upon the bridge leading to the mossclaw meet and waylay travellers.

In a sense he too formed a bandit group, which included another orcish bandit named Grizzle, (He also, quite unsucessfully, managed to get certain other chaacters drunk to the point where even with his mighty lack of charisma he could convince them to join him on his 'quest' to get 'taxes' for 'Da wun eye')

Fun times.. and yes, he was hated and hunted by 99.9% of the server (the last .1% being his 'crew')

It certainly can be possible to pull it off, Urthak was incredibly sucessful at his job, but make no mistake, you will get beaten to death on numerous occasions and will find 'resting by the communal campfire' to be an old memory.
Until I can somehow magically discover, hitherto unknown, skills to make a nice looking sig pic to represent my main chrs -

I primarily play Ignus Pyre and Smithy

*looks up thoughtfully* I think he was the first player I killed on this server, actually. He attacked me in the Sharahan Hills, and got a pike in his gullet. =)
