Aren't the Neverwinter Nine supposed to be at Nasher's beck and call? What character could protect him when they're leagues away in Sundren?

Considering that the Neverwinter Nine are among the nine most powerful individuals in all of Faerun, I can understand why they aren't.Originally posted by Handsomeman View Postcorrect me if im wrong, but i don't think neverwinter nine class is available in this server
It would also limit the number of Neverwinter Nine on the server to...uh...nine. Limiting classes to a hard, fixed number for "story" reasons has a lot of problems on MMRPGs, (limiting anything, actually). I was a DM for a MUD...and that was a *huge* problem. Lets just say that *everyone* wants to be a Jedi. Someone on the power level of a NWN9 , in a non multiplayer environment, is fine, or even restricted to a small environment (PnP group of 5-7 people) , but in a heavily multiplayer environment there will be problems...its not just the power of the characters abilities itself, but the "story" implications that go along with it. Neverwinter is a very powerful city...it is certainly the largest (right? or are there ones in other Planes/Underdark that are larger?)
It's not *that* great of a PRC anyway. I also hear that there are Sundren-custom PRCs coming sometime in the future , that are "mindblowing"? Soon you might be able to level in Hand of Mundus or Red Knight Adept

That's how I've been trying to play it. Thanks for clarifying that.Originally posted by Rhifox View PostArcane Scholar is not so much a cultural class (like Red Wizards), but more the idea of studying magic from an academic perspective. Arcane Scholars, of course, would promote widespread teaching of magic and it would spread throughout the realms, most likely (evidenced by the bonus to spell saves that group members of an Arcane Scholar get. That's them teaching others). Candle Keep would be the center of the education, but that doesn't mean that there aren't individual Arcane Scholars promoting it who are out in the world teaching other Scholars that have never set foot in Candle Keep.

*does not have levels in Arcane Scholar, unlike every other spellcaster apparently*

Yahoo.
Kaldaris is an arcane scholar that's never been to Candlekeep-- He defines it as independent study.

It's preferable, but I assume Arcane Scholars exist in many places where there are those who follow Candle Keep's methods. Erm...
Are you supposed to actually study at Candle Keep before taking levels in Arcane Scholar? Or at least say you've studied there?

Harper agents are very powerful , but in unseen ways. A lot of people don't realize how *essential* saves become later in the game, especially when you start to face off against high-level wizards.
They are essentially the archetypical hero; a real "Jack of all Trades" prestige class. This is why most people ignore them in persistent PW NWN/NWN2, at least when you are talking about powergaming- they really don't do one thing amazingly well, outside of save their own hide- which..for the record, can be an *amazing* ability to have in certain situations:
For example, when a certain necromancer casts "Wail of the Banshee" and obliterates everyone in your party, except for you. There is no such thing as "too much save bonuses". Granted, certain spells don't allow saves, but there are other ways to circumvent them.
They also have many of the thriftiest skills in the game: Appraise, all crafting abilities, bluff, hide, move silently, taunt, tumble, and survival. Dominate Animal isn't as bad as it sounds- all lower-level Summon Monster spells summon animals. Summon a dire wolf on me, will you?
This is a *wee* powergamey, but Rangers (and Bards) make good Harper Agents. The high Reflex/Fortitude saves from your ranger classes will offset the bad Harper Agent Reflex/Fortitude saves, and you should get a few combat abilities from the Ranger classes (I would go with missile weapons, despite what everyone on the NWN2 boards say about missile rangers sucking).
Damn...I think I'm going to make one when I get home.

So in light of these recent posts, GodBeastX should by all accounts have shat himself by now?
