Was kinda wondering why Hoar wouldnt be allowed for them as well. Though of course.. Talos is nicknamed the stormlord.

It was a bit more of an rp thing, as i was making a lawful evil cleric. (cant pick Talos) but if i have to go chaotic evil to be storm lord, then not much a problem.

Hoar is the god of three thunders. But I'm assuming that its Talos required in the book it came from.

Oh well, not much of a difference in character build at all, only in rp. He will butcher you all.

Hoar isn't Talos.

Talos is Talos.

Talos is the Stormlord.

The Stormlords are what his clergy is called.

That's like asking for a Scrivener of Doom to be open to Tormites or something.

Hoar = Neutral with good tendencies.

Talos = Evil, and he sponsors the Stormlords.

In easier terms, think of them like Paladins, only certain gods can sponsors them.
Just like how only Talos sponsors the Stormlords.

Stormlords are the Prestiege Class associated to the Talos church, just as Doombringer is Hoar
A Stormlord class is rewarded to a player for thier devotion to Talos by a DM for good Rolaplay.

On that same note;
Hoar is a diety of Poetic Justice ( also a very Emo god )

Only characters that worship Talos can be stormlords, no other God that is known for lightning or fury. Just Talos. End. Done.

And a character that runs around killing everyone, causing destruction to all. Just sounds like a Talosian. Not a Hoarite. So.. why not just make a Talosian?

And.. People that do run around slaying all, your life may be bright, but very very short.

Heh, before he was going to be more of a person of tyranny, based off Vlad the Impaler.

I had plans before to make him chaotic evil, and this is basically the tipping point.

Really when i was looking at storm lord, i was like sweet a class that is focused in spears.

Most of my Triskavanski family should be more chaotic evil anyways.

Ooh i do wish i could play two of my characters at the same time though, I'd have them fight and kill each others. (my other family is good aligned and hates triskavanskis)


(btw... i just had the weirdest feeling of daja vu. I feel like a dev is going to tell me to log in make me a storm bringer, kill my character and ban me from the server.)

There is actually a Doombringer prestige class, that I found via Google once...Doombringer of Assuran, in the Old Empires. Its abilities mostly focus on tracking, and favoured enemy-like bonuses on targets marked for vengeance.

It's been stated before that allowing Talosians only to be DM-picked for becoming Stormlords is a Sundren lore/setting decision. Sometimes the team will do stuff that's not canon but that fits Sundren, y'know.

Just a reminder: in pen and paper, Stormlord of Talos (as well as Champion of Torm and all other deity-specific PrCs) require you to worship that specific deity. Since this is a roleplaying server, set in the setting that has that deity-specific class and deity, it seems simple enough. Why make it more complicated than it is?
