I agree with 99% of what everyone has said thus far, however I feel its also important to point out a few other points.

High level people don't get xp from monsters, hence they're not out all day grinding like most others and guess what, yup they need cash too.

Now we can do this two ways, we can kill all the monsters you're trying to get xp from or we can just go for what gives us money once every eight hours or so.

Secondly, high level people who are out to get money, might honestly NOT care who you are IC especially if this FITS their character.
Personally my character could care less about a half orc and dwarf standing around. I'm not going to stop to talk to you, but I won't run past either.

However for those of you that know me, I will help lowbies and not join their party so we can still rp and I don't suck their XP. I try to be an understanding person.

Running past a group without RPing and then killing everything ahead of them just ain't cool folks!

Plus, in my humble opinion, its just bad RP. If you think about the situation, you are in a dank, dark cave with monsters all around you just waiting to jump out, you see a couple of figures ahead of you. Who are they? What are they doing there? Are they friendly or going to kill you as well?

What do you do..?

What the hell lets just run past them ignoring them 'cos you looked at their challenge rating and there are too low for you. *urgh*

Both points are true, and completely valid!... But people have also been doing the last thing you mention (ie; running past and killing stuff), which is the point of the thread . And It's not just higher level characters that do it either, it's groups running past groups. With so many people joining the server and no application process, there's bound to be a bit of it... some may not know the farming rules, and like Aux says a bit of a reminder is probably a good idea.

Wow when you meet low level pc's you actually take the time and stop and chat and be considerate enough to help them aside the party, I never go into the goblins once the xp reaches 10-20xp because of grinding but if i did that is what i'd be doing ? I wish every high level was you!

I generally keep out of grinding, usually if there is a party and can earn around 40-60 experience a kill then i might join, i keep away from grinding from the 10xp kills, it's not fun.
