As a DM I am privy to the inner character designs since I can read entire character sheets. I can say that not all drow are "Good" drow. Just not "Drow" Drow. I did see one who was a "Drow" Drow.

Personally, I think Drow are weaker than all the other races. I watched 3 Humans and a Drow enter Sharahan hills. One rock hit the drow and it fell down dying... over and over.

Where as the Humans were fine. When the Humans are level 20, the Drow will be ... what, 17? 2 - 3 levels is alot worse for a character than the few small bonuses the race gets.

Honestly, I think people just play Drow for the look more than for the Bonuses. If we let everyone be vampires, it'd be the same thing. I could have scripts in to melt them outdoors in the sun. I could have scripts in for blood need, etc. Tons of hinderances, and people would still want to be them

As for the topic, I pretty much have NPC's distrust them implicitly. I know PC's who also distrust them and get shunned for it, which is surprising.

As I understand it, ECL races can get to 20. The maximum XP allowed is exactly what is needed for an ECL +3 race (deep gnome) to get to level 20. So it takes the ECl races more time, but eventually they do get all the levels. (unless it's a server modification that doesnt' allow ECL races to level to 20)

Didn't a DM just say in page one say your character not liking drow isn't a reason for PVP, but for RP?

All right guys, the rules should be clear: random killing is not permitted. You need to have a reason and you can't be repeatedly killing people. Sundren's descrimination is not as extreme as other regions, take that into consideration. Overall reactions to drow and tieflings isn't going to be exactly friendly, but senseless murdering should not be common place.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
