A valid arugument to all side, but I fail to see why the O.P failed place a suggestion in the suggestion thread (Done it for you). By doing so, you take the sting out of a otherwise rant thread.

A Simple sugesstion like, Is it possible to place a Coaching House/Inn at the crossroads. To back up this thread and reniforce your arugument.

But even with a suggestion like this there will be people who will oppose the "construction" of a coaching house/inn for IC reasons, which have already been aired.

I think its way everyone behaves in RL... a human will always do something that will cause least effort. so to say nto walk ages till he or she reaches a place (tavern) while another being close enough would do (campfire). Moreover I don't think that it so much a problem as to go "from" the tavern to the adventure site because that travel is already part of the adventure when follwing the others... rather its a problem of going "to" the tavern after an adventure... I believe some have already said that in other words

I could imagine that if the server resets everyone logging in again would start at a common place like outside the city gates or somewhere near a tavern, if that would be the case then everyone logging in new after a reset would automatically be near a hazzling an bazzling city square with taverns and everyone might automatically run into each other and meet there...

This was the case on a server where i played in NWN1... the login field was close to a small town so there were more people running around the small town while there was a huge city not far away.

Because its the problem with the camp fires... everyone meets there "by accident" or because you simply automatically come across people. They are, as things are now major crossroads of sociality....

I also think that with the new quest system people will be running more into each other in other places due to the people ( perhaps i dunno since I am no dm) that give quest will for sure not be just neear shaharan hills or viridale forest border.

Edit: oh yeah and the reason for my suggestion for only being after reset is since if you are in an adventuring party and lose internet connection or get "lost in transition" you get relogged there were the party is.

...right-click, "find other players". simple enough to find out where people are hangin out. I jump between the camp sites of viradale and sharahan.. go from there.

But yeah the fires are always nice as it allows for RP situations to happen better than say in a tavern. Examples would be.. goblins attacking the country side and Sgt Grayham comes along telling you to find the cause. In a tavern what happens? Mysterious man comes in looking for a humphalump? Dont know, I prefer the camp fire.

Wow... This thread is still going?

Ok, for me it is simple. I have exactly 3 hours (in general) to jump online to do all that I have to do each day. That includes logging into Sundren, browsing, porn, shopping, paying bills, porn, and email. Simple fact is, I don't have time to waste often. I log on to relax, enjoy myself, have some fun. I can't do this if I spend several minutes walking from A to B. This doesn't include the ever-so-frequent transition-crashes I have to endure. So really, I am reduced to boiling off all of the filler material to get to the meat. Otherwise, it is no fun and I just waste time.

Having said that, some days are spent simply RPing by the fires. No hacking gobbies. I wouldn't mind RPing in a tavern on those days, it's just easier to find people at the fires.

Never! some of the best things come there. Hooded man come with a map of a long forgotten duengon seeking a item in it, will reward you. You get the item after a nearly getting killed and it turns out to be the 2nd of the 3rd peice of a evil weapon that can destory the world! Wont get that classicness around campfires!
Sacrifice everything as the final darkness falls... in the end, all that awaits you is death. Only then will you understand - you've been following in my footsteps all along.
So come then, you heroes! Come in all your power and glory! For in the final hour, all must serve the one... true... king.
