For anything above the basic lowlevel dungeons many classes will be almost required for dungeons or difficulty will be drastically increased. This is by design. Rogues will be very, very beneficial in a party for a multitude of reasons.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

I would like to see anything drawn from real world examples. Crack open the history books on clothing, armor, weapons, cultures; Celtic (look up falcatas, I believe they are Celtic-Iberian), Roman, Native American (gun-stock war clubs are wicked cool), Chinese, anything. Osprey publishes an entire line of books related to this. Libraries usually have great books on the history and trends in fashion. Check'm out, pun intended. I confess I don't care for things that are obviously unbalanced or unwieldy. Like the Great double bladed, double headed War Axe. Rubbish I say! I'd never want to get hit by one, but rubbish none the less. Yes I know It's fantasy but honestly, have you ever looked at one of those things...
We are merely players, performers and portrayers. Each another's audience inside the gilded cage.

And then flip around and make monsters that have magic immunity to... So fighters and mages are also completely required? Sorry, but to me, it ruins the feel of a dungeon when you go down there and see nothing but epic traps, it switches me over from the 'we could use a rogue' feel to the 'the DM who made this is a jackarse' feel.
I see nothing wrong with a dungeon that is designed to promote the usefulness of a class. Why not take a design approach to it. Design dungeons with multiple paths: A quick path riddled with traps that would require a rogue; a long one riddled with scores of encounters requiring the skills of a fighter and/or cleric; another path that might need a magic user of sorts. It certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility to have dungeons require a well-rounded group to get through in the most efficient way. Doesn't have to be impossible. Those are your words. Just difficult.

some of the things that usually get overlooked or only a glance when upgrading or making items are:

          light weapons

          Light armour

          Robes

Give the monks, rogues, and mage users a bone!

Hey, if we all gonna chime in, I would like to, too!

Anyways, I'd like to see a variety of bardic equipment that can be held. Like a halfling bard can wander down the street with lute in hand, a set of war-drums for the man ready for an epic battle, a war-horn. List could go on, really. Just something the bards can hold than a weapon. Bards aren't there for the fighting!

Then I would like to see more mundane head-gear. Hoods, Masks, Better looking helms, half-masks (for a ball? Eh? Eh? XD).

And finally, some mundane clothes. Yeah.

Really, I'd just like to see some 1-20g cosmetic/rp equipment outside of the realm of: I got a wizard's hat. I'm sexy.

I had not meant to come across as harsh, nor as unimpressed as to your RP efforts, which if you're whom I believe you to be, are quite good. My apologies!!

Well, we DO have visible lutes & harps and such, I believe.
My bard has one, and often threatens to brain people with it.
