If a single +2 to one stat is the difference in power between two character builds and everything else is the same, then the characters are basically the same. A single +2 will never be the power gap between two people IMO. Gear matters much more strongly then stats. A fighter with a +5 strength and a +2 sword is the exact same as a fighter with a +2 strength and a +5 sword, with the bonus of his sword being harder to break and usually being more effective against DR.

But I do agree we should all start from scratch with no real bonuses over anyone else. That's been my stance on this wipe from the beginning.

+2 to a stat only makes any tangible difference if you're gunning for epic feats that have absurd stat requirements. (See; Dragon Shape/Companion for druids, epic dodge, etc.)

But the hard cap is being set to 20, so there are no epic feats on Sundren anymore.

Also; agreed, fresh start is best start.

I'm sure the Dev's will know/figure out how to work in anything relating to pre-wipe Sundren in a post-wipe Sundren world. I think it would be a cool touch to see some old store items as loot drops, kind of like they've been disseminated throughout the years from various users. Easter Eggs are always fun.

I like this. I would make it extremely rare, but how cool would it be to find an old faction item with its own lore / back story.
