Well try to log in after reset, but that's past my bed time on work nights, Sparky is loging in after reset or trying too as well

Seems like if someone logs in right after or shortly after the reset then it's good for everyone for that day, if that makes sense.

If that is the case... or as an attempt to prove it, can the reboot time be changed to 8pm EST or another prime time? Yes in the middle of the fun, but a know 10 min outage to lead to a fix might be worth it.

Might it be a caching thing. The rep table gets loaded into cache if a player logs in right after, otherwise other stuff does.

Yes i know cache is not the right term here, but I cannot remember SQLs eqiv.

I checked Chime's rep at 1627 today. Everything looked normal.

Seems rep is working tonight, too. Monday, September 7th, 2015. So, seems it's two days in a row that it's worked.

As far as a wipe goes... Would that fix the issue? If mechanical then I would say no, it would not.

Before going that route could we remove the bulk of the data. Removing say all toons not played in 6 months? 3 months? Or having each current player pick 1 or 2 and clear the rest? What about exporting the handful of toons then do a wipe and import them back in?

For any of the above suggestions, I would save a backup of the current system and perhaps deploy it to a VM on an external HD.

Could there be a work around by having locks to the rooms were quests are giving out and having an item then gives rep (inventory based)?

I would be down for anything that could help get some good RP back! I am beginning to miss Sundren, that and summer is coming to an end, so most of us will have more time on our hands.

Rep seems to be working today, after all. I'll check it again tomorrow, but the pattern seems to be that rep works for characters that are logged in after reset, so perhaps something happens mid day on most days to bork the rep?
