Psh, if your paladin isn't getting some serious loving with his high CHA then you probably picked the wrong deity to follow. The low reproduction rate of the elves is an IC justification for the fact that their are so many male played lesbian elves out there.

ERP probably wouldn't be such a problem if 99% of it wasn't so poorly written, nothing is more disappointing than porting into a location to discover the group you had an event in mind for is indulging in some terribly typed, anatomically improbable, 1/2 Shade of Grey nonsense. Laughing at them makes it so much harder to apply the appropriate XP removal. Sundren isn't an ERP server and we have rules in place regarding it. Beware the rules!

Hey, I never intended for any of my female character to be lesbian, Maine was just very persuasive. My other 2 female characters are either asexual or straight, so it's just where the character's chips fall. Besides, Artemis has never consumated a marriage, so I'm playing it off as she has no idea what her girl-girl marriage means...it's just more hilarious that way. As a chronic ditz, she just assumes it means lots of hugs and kisses and talking through the night.

It's off-topic of the OP, but I think many guys playing female characters are uncomfortable RPing romance with other guys playing male characters. I say push those boundaries! I need Fury to roll up a male gnome to seduce my female gnome and see what sort of awkward RP arises from that...
I can't slow down, I can't hold back though you know I wish I could. No there ain't no rest for the wicked until we close our eyes for good!

I am frightened by the fact that the following was most likely not a joke and a serious post about two(or more?!) players. :S

Hehehe, I wasn't referring to anyone current and I certainly wasn't being that serious! It's been many years since I last accidentally ported in on a hilariously bad amorous moment.

I should have included more smiley faces to indicate I wasn't targeting anyone and had my tongue firmly in cheek!

Probably best to drop the subject and move on.

Well... This thread went off the rails and into the gutter.

I was going to avoid this thread after saying my piece, but I'd like to point out that there is no Avanthyr / Blackwood issue. There's only an Avanthyr issue. Mercenaries go where the coin is and I think I've done pretty good with that. Even Bryun has been learning to set aside some (I do mean some) of his Noble Pride when it comes to making coin.

That wasn't your point, however. At least I don't think it was. It does seem to me that the factions look for any flimsy excuse not to work with one another. If there is a lull or stall, I place it on those of us who play Faction Leaders.

I know I'm not on as much as I was. I've been busy with other things and I know my faction suffers because of it. I haven't put in any DM requests in quite some time. I'm just dividing time up right now. It's the nature of life.

                    Ah, that noble pride.

In more hilarious off topic relevance, I too remember the many fine ERP moments that were to be walked in on, both as a DM and player. The temple of the Joybringer in Sestra certainly brought some people joy. On the altar.

What I meant by that is... Well shit, can't really explain without metagaming, so guess I have to leave it at that. I probably said too much already. :-)

For the love of everything, please not the ERP issues again!

                          In other news,

I rather like the fact that some factions don't get along. I think the IC tension is kind of nice. You have to put time and effort in if you want things accomplished and hope that none of your people do anything stupid to mess this up for you.

On topic: I am not Emilliana, or Myrios, or even Centurio. Foogoo did say some stuff to me before she left, and I guess I'm trying to keep the ship steady ahead until she gets back or the DMs pick a new fitting faction leader. My ideas align with some of the known faction objectives, and some are future proofing. Think from your character's perspective, and then from your faction's perspective. Give orders (or make requests, depending on how your ship is run), and see what people do with them. See what the DMs do with them. Some will go nowhere, some will fail or even backfire. Some will do exactly what you want. Own that.
