  • Crafting changes?

New player just getting back and wondering if there are crafting changes i should be aware of? I remember using the recipes and being able to craft bows. Are materials fairly easy to come by or still difficult to find? Oh and is there a list of where materials are generally found like different woods for arrows?

Yeesh crafting.. it is a huge process.

    Start here. http://www.sundren.org/wiki/index.ph...rafting_System

Recipes are all over the place and the ones not available in general stores can often be found in faction stores but many are now DM only as the cryptic notes are not working any longer.

My advice; join a crafting guild or find someone in-game to show you the ropes but first read the wiki

Also don't try to do it all. Get your arrowheads from a smith and your wood from a wood cutter. then use your own craft woodworking to get it finished.

You can do it so that you CAN do it all.. or most of it. but, you will have no room for other skills. The Sundren craft system was intentionally designed to be a collaborative... thing.

If you are doing it to make just your own weapon, then I guess I would discourage you from taking craft skills/feats. Find a craftsman and invest your time elsewhere.

Yes, I remember the basics and how it works. I was wondering if there had been any changes that weren't posted or up to date. When I played a long time ago the hardest part was finding resources, wood specifically. I know certain types of wood would yield certain benefits to crafted weapons. I was hoping for a list on where to to find the trees or if they were more readily available than they used to be. I'm quite young in the business, my character is level 6 and he crafts mighty bows, short and long, at this point.

Collaboration is the key. There are a handful of us that rely on one another to make the most out of the crafting system. I will hit you up for a bow in fact... but in the mean time, I would be on the look out for...

James Frazer - Master Crafter and Technologist
Rurik Stonefist - Master Armor and Arms Smith
Angus Ironforge - Master Armor and Arms Smith
        Jericho - Master Armor Smith
        Paddy Thornbristle - Enchanter (Divine)
        Sinn Soulforge - Enchanter (Arcane)

//This is not an all inclusive list//

        Cheers!
