  • Walking through Aquor

Don't go there looking like a Legionaire, Hand, or AA person, I know its the only way up to Whurest but at least take the time to RP that you arent suicidal.

The Aurilites aren't exactly on friendly terms with the State.

    Thank You
I used to be a player like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

You can go though the old smuggling tunnels and go around aquor as well.

Can we at least RP being able to take an alternate route past Aquor?

As it stands those of a goodly/state alignment who RP characters with prinicples are effectivly prohibited from:

Sestran Lizards, Ixis, Under Aquor, Shekkanessi Caves, The Spine, Ice Giants and Whurest.

That's two of the best mapped and most atmospheric areas of the server!
The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.

Shekkanessi caves no longer exist, the path to them is gone. Probably from the cartel mountain collapsing. Ixis is technically ok to go to, just needs a little OOC silliness because there is supposed to be a boat there from Port Avanthyr already in place, it just hasn't been updated. The best way to simulate that the guards aren't friendly with the Legion, AA, or hands is to set the aurilites hostile to those factions. No one goes into aqour for any reason then to go to the mountains anyways. If the enclave wasn't there, I'm betting the Thayans wouldn't step foot in their either. I actually suggest turning Aquor into a runnable area for people to fight the occupying tribesmen.

The Mirakus mines are at the same exp range as the Sestra mines, so they are an alternative. They have less spawns, that are harder and half of them are immune to crit/sneak attack, but they are there.
Tigen Amastacia: Died in events so you didn't have to.

Quintin Ulsteris: Nice-guy Legion engineer, deceased son of House Ulsteris.

Clandriel Cain: AKA "Fire-eyes" AKA "Demon hunter" AKA "OH MY GOD, WHY IS HE STILL STABBING ME!!??"

There are still Aurilite players who use the area, right?

Actually. The Banites allow people through to Ixis, all it has ever taken is a little bit of RP, and away you go. The captain wouldn't be very pleased if we turned away all his business.

Though I admit, a Legionaire may be turned away.

There are. Also don't forget that besides the enclave (which has the only bank groundside) there is also the cloak shop and the instrument shop.

Aquor is similar. Whenever I am online with Khyron, I try to hang out in either Aquor or Geimhredh. In Aquor, I challenge the folks who enter the city, often asking for some kind of tribute to Auril. If they comply, they are given full access with a warning about fires - just something to strengthen the popup text that PCs get when they enter the city. If they want to continue on to the Spine, then so be it.

I have encouraged other players of Aurilite characters to do the same.

I'd even let a legionnaire in or a worshipper of another god, so long as they showed Auril proper respect while in Her claimed lands. (I'd definitely require a greater tribute though and a worshipper of Kossuth would be killed as soon as his faith was discovered.) We're more Pro-Auril than anti-Legion. However if Icebreath Priestess Kvedulfsdottir (The Aurilite in charge of Aquor) were to command differently, then all bets would be off. In that case, some characters might be better served using the alternate route through the caves.

I seem to remember paying Khyron a coldstone and 50 GP to get ignored while drug-smuggling before (Not that he knew I had drugs, but eeh).

I'm prefer of the historically accurate "Pay more taxes to be a different religion" method of dealing with it. Besides, it always makes for more interesting RP when people have a more reasonable option than 'Avoid this area".

[Edit: however, I will admit, taxes don't tend to help if you look like another State's militay forces]

I never said you couldnt go "Beneath Aquor", I also never said you couldnt go into aquor

The entrance to "Beneath Aquor" is outside the gate and provides another way around.

All I'm asking is to not waltz through aquor wearing full Burlap Sack or Legion uniform and not expect consequences if there is a DM online, just as it is with Sestra.

I do hope some leniency will be given for getting the giants quest from the NPC that is ten feet from a Snow Leopard.
