I'd say no... I am going to fix this feat anyway.

I would like to ask if in my case ( and before take it for my character) if it's possible to use it in this combination:

      Rogue/wizard/Trickster.

Thanks for the info in advanced!

      See you in game!

(unofficaly) id say this is ok. the arcane trickster has such high requierments currently I don't think it will effect the exploite..

        "from the wiki:

To qualify to become an Arcane Trickster, a character must fulfill all the following criteria.
        Alignment: Non-lawful
Skills: Lore 7 ranks, Disable device 7 ranks, Tumble 7 ranks, Spellcraft 4 ranks
Spellcasting: Ability to cast at least one arcane spell of 3rd level or higher
        Special: Sneak attack +2d6 "

It's only relevant if your final build has a caster level of 17+ by level 20, so the feat would put your caster level over your actual level (which it can't do in Pnp).

Just make sure you have at least 4 levels of classes that don't add caster level somewhere in your build.

Devs/DM's, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, I realise my RP writing sucks. Just be thankful I keep it short

So sticking to base classes wouldn't be a problem? 1-3 levels in a non-casting base class and the rest in a caster base class?

That is pretty much the intention of the feat. Sadly, Obsidian goofed on making the feat.

I think the feat is good so long as you don't have more caster levels then you should.

like a cleric 17 / fighter 3 should not have a CL of 21 because of this feat.

( disregard if I am well off the mark with this.)

That is correct. To explain the situation, this issue ONLY occurs when you receive spell-casting progression in a class (say, wizard or cleric), without taking a level in that class (which is why it only occurs with PRCs). As no base class augments the spell-progression of any other base class, they may be mixed and matched without issue when considering Practiced Spellcaster.

Grand. I read the bug notes now. It's ok to use the way I had planned it. Splendid.
