I belive Memnoch's point is that there is no 'Top hat of assassination', 'Buisness suit of Lethality', or whatever in any of the stores. All the assasin gear makes people LOOK like a steriotypical assasssin, rather than 'that oddball down the street', or just some passing stranger. It would be nice if that changed. Disguises are often the best way to get close to people, and an all-to-disused tool in the arsenal.

There are disguise kits and they are awesome.

After the game, the king and the pawn go into the same box.

The various stealth armours and things can be considered adventuring wear, they're certainly not the be all and end all of assassin fashion. If you want disguises there are plenty of clerics shirts, nobles clothing and other things available from the tailors, slap them on and you won't look like you're trussed up in armour.

Stealthy armour might be perfect if you're going in via the skylight or planning to remain utterly unseen, normal clothing on the other hand affords less protection but allows you to stroll in the front door.

I know of at least one assassin character who wears extremely distinctive armour for the day to day work, looking stylishly lethal when sitting around chatting at the fireside or out with people stabbing monsters in the face. When it comes to going against the law and assassinating people though he wears something completely different, either armour that is only ever used on assassination contracts and creates a dramatically different silhouette, or civvies, depending on the actual job.

If you want a custom look that is less armour more subtle then I'd commission something from the various crafters and enchanters on the server.

The big problem with having Assassins Leisure Suit #6 is it'll quickly become a bit farcical as most rogues would end up wearing the same, instead of shifty people in black and hoods we might end up with shifty people in brown pinstripes and matching bowlers.

I get that, I really do and I have a complete trunk full of different attire to wear as a disguise. My meaning was that all of the things that can be bought for the rogue class to provide armor that is already in the shops make us look.. well like the stereotypical rogue. Black capes, hoods etc.

Now keep in mind also.. while I have been on this server for two years, I havent really participated as actively as I probably should have (forums etc) and now that Ive changed all that I am learning more about how things work. so I'm open to any advice/criticism thas out there.

                So thanks in advance.

Why are assassins in black armor and masks? Because if you're going to hide in shadows, you better not be wearing pink!

I agree though that the assassin class is about premeditated death and murder. It's evil.

RPing an assassin? Well, that's up to each person. After all, I don't expect a lawful assassin to be the same mentally as a chaotic one. At the end of the day you have tools to get the job done and your job is death. Assassin is not just a rogue with a stronger sneak attack. I've made blackguard assassins after all

Anyone who has seen holmes' obsurd disguises in the new sherlock holmes film will realise why assassins need disguise as a pre-requisite.
