Hey folks,
With the update pending, the DM staff has decided to offer another possible alternative reward for the bio contest. I'd like to introduce four lesser noble houses:
Pendraig
Ulsteris
Meriadoc
Aurelianus
As well as expanded lore on:
LaCroix
Hellstrom
The staff has tentatively decided to allow players to play one of these noble PC's (the lesser houses) as an alternative package to winning the bio contest.
Why make one, you ask? Noble PC's will receive an accelerated startup (level 5), a custom magical item or two, and extra gold on startup. They also will be exempt from minor laws due to their houses influence, and have more sway with whatever faction they choose to join.
Now, this all sounds very nice, I'm sure. But it's hardly reason to make a noble PC your main one. In fact, it'd probably just be a nice distraction for a short time. That's why noble PC's will be able to participate in a competition amongst Sundren's elite, the Regent's Throne. This competition will be a roll based mini-game that takes place once a month (every week) between the houses where common PC's can fill roles as henchmen and the nobility deal, lie, cheat, and stab their way to the top. The prize? The Regent's Throne, power, and wealth being added to your house and real effects taking place in the game world.
The house bio's may look a little sparse, but that's where you come in! When you guys start competing in the Regent's Throne and in general be the nobles that you want to be, those wiki pages will fill up quick!
Also, I'd like to offer a noble PC to anyone who is able to make the house crests and post them to the wiki.
