According to your wiki, if I read it correctly, after level 11 if I die I can only be raised if a player does it or if someone drags me to a temple and pays. This would seem to imply permadeath if nobody saves me. Is this actually the case or is the wiki mis-stating the facts?
Should you pass away at level 11 or below, you are given 4 options to return to your mortal frame:
Once you've passed beyond level 11, your options become more dramatic:
- Someone can cast Raise Dead or Ressurection on your body. A small percentage of your total XP will be deducted this way, but you cannot lose a level. (Note you can toggle whether people are allowed to raise you via the Sundren Menu)
- Someone can pay a priest to raise you in a temple. A small percentage of your total XP will be deducted this way, but you cannot lose a level.
- You may choose to speak to the Essence of the Night. It will reform your body and shuffle your soul back to it. You will lose a small percentage of your total XP and gold. Also you can lose random items from you inventory, having been stolen from your corpse while you are deceased.
