You're playing an evil Banite.
How does this seem wrong, oocly?
It's one of the risks that come with the territory.
If anything, as a Banite, you could pursue the problem ICly.
Play the role of the victim, etc. And cry out for justice and tolerance.
Because oocly... Well, the problem is silly at best.

ARGG!
Banites practice human sacrifice. That is all you need to know. Why they are not outlawed is beyond comprehension.
Their is no: "we are the good Banites THEY are the BAD ones over there doing that!"
Note, I am talking here about the PC's and NPC's that have Bane listed as their patron on their character sheet. I do not mean the frightened little farmer who prays to Chauntea regularly but slips in the occasional prayer to Bane to bring strife between his nasty neighbours so they leave him alone.
Paladins fall, clerics loose their powers and the the straying rank and file are "corrected" in one way or another by the former. As soon as someone started a "Bane-lite" church, Bane would have them corrected. (Bane in this paragraph could be substituted by any of the gods though method and lethality of the the correcting would vary).
When Cirion and Amilynn screwed up Sune, yes SUNE of all deities striped them of their powers until they atoned. You think Bane is some how less willing to clean house?
You picked a god that's an ass, his priests and secret organisations are told to act like asses too. How do you expect to be treated? You can not use the RL excuse of "Well they are Orthodox, I am Reformed", or even "Bane does not tolerate the actions of the Black Hand". If he does not tolerate it where is the clean up? There has not even been a token clean up, some out of favour Banites being thrown to the Triumvirate/Legion wolves.

I am part of the Babyeaterite faith. We kidnap babies, cook them up and eat them as a ritual sacrifice. Do you tolerate me?Originally posted by Darkened SkiesReligious intolerance is an evil act.
I've devoted my life to eating babies and supporting the eating of babies with garnishings of ground cumin and other spices. You haven't seen me eating babies, but you know I'd have a royal banquet if you let me anywhere near the maternity ward. Granted you'd prefer to lock me up, but in general is it wrong to act against me?Killing someone on the basis of their religious observances when they have actually done nothing wrong is an EVIL act.
In a universe with objective evil represented by entire planes of existence and fiendish beings who represent specific forms of evil and gain strength by spreading that evil, devoting oneself to evil isn't as ill conceived as one might think.People have many reasons for choosing their deity. "I'm evil" is not one of these reasons.
