A cape with their emblem, you mean? No, but you can always role play that your cloak has that emblem on it, write it into your description and such.

For example, the armors in game don't have holy symbols on them, but you'll frequently find that paladins and clerics rp that their gods' holy symbols are inscribed in their armor. There's nothing stopping you from doing the same with a cloak/banner.

      That's dumb. You're dumb.

The next time a Legionnaire starts busting my chops for the armor my Banite is wearing, I'm going to emote, *his armor is dressed with NO SYMBOLS OR INCRIMINATING COLORS THAT WOULD INDICATE HE GOT THIS ARMOR FROM A FACTION STORE TO A KILL-ON-SIGHT FACTION. IN FACT, YOU'RE DUMB FOR EVEN THINKING THAT IT IS BECAUSE IT HAS FLOWERS, RAINBOWS, AND PEACE SIGNS INSCRIBED ALL OVER IT.*

So dumb, so dumb. Fo' real.

      edit: yes, I am joking

Oh, by the way, as to swords, everyone has to put out a crap of stags to buy a very good sword. My weapon master had to shell out 27K stags for his sword. So suck it up.

I am more apt to kill you for wearing fugly hippy armor than Black Hand armor. Just sayin'.

For content: since the game is limited in its visuals, you can most definitely RP that your cloak is a banner with a symbol of the Corps de Grâce upon it. I don't think anyone would have a problem with it.

Just gonna quote myself from another thread:

That's true, if you're interested in taking only the two weapon path. But a Samurai, at least in my view, isn't necessarily focused more on the style of fighting as they are protecting their lord and carrying out their lord's wishes. As it stands now, the only viable samurai option is a two weapon fighter type, without just dipping into the class for RP flavor. In fact, there's even a RP requirement to have a lord and to obey their lord's orders to the strictest sense. In which case, the Neverwinter Nine is in fact a better class to represent the RP of a Samurai than the samurai itself.
I think the samurai class could use an overhaul, but that's my personal opinion. Playing as a fighter type, we do need to think more about how we enter battle, and more importantly how to recover from that battle. I carry around at least 20 bandages at all times, potions, and then some more bandages. If you play smart, pick your fights, and know when to hightail it out of there, a fighter can be just as effective.

At least, for now. My guy just hit level 7, and he's been soloing the Viridale since level 5. I'll probably get my ass kicked soon enough once I get past Cartel.

I think the samurai class is out of context and in the wrong game and should be removed, but that's just the jaded opinion of a miserable old DM

As long as we're talking about swapping out a class why not discuss what would fit into Sundren's unique lore.

                      So here's a post I made:

I agree I find the class as named grating, they should be given an in-context descriptive name and the Bushido code described (in its entirety) but not called such. As they stand now it would be like renaming the Swashbuckler class Movie-Pirate or Musketeer. It seems out of place. On the other hand, I am sure the staff have better things to do than re-imagining a single class just to be more immersion friendly.
