Gonna have to agree with Equus and Rogue on this one. My sneaker is a monster in PvP combat.

I wasn't talking abou8t a sneak machine, I was talking about as a melee character.

I only ever do melee with my build - Maybe with the occasional dart if I want to sacrifice lethality for showmanship.

Ahh the trusty dart, why do I have none in my inventory?!

I remember in baldur's gate (video game) there was a fighter called Zal who dropped the bracers of archery, that guy was amazing! I think he was probably an early version of the master thrower class
Getting oblitterated by lots of 1D3s was probably one of the high points of my gaming career...

One of the first power builds:

The 2E Fighter with 18/00 Str who throws darts. "They're only darts," you say. You're right. They're only a bajillion darts a round that all do +6 damage.

still seems a bit lame that the defender gets both BAB and a d20 AND spot. the way the rule was written with sense motive as a counter to feint seems so logical... why would obsidian f with that?

anyway the best solution is to fight along side a mage... you get your sneak attack ALL the time that way :P

Sense motive does not exist in standard NWN2. That's a unique skill to this server. Thus, Obsidian used spot+BAB. It would be interesting to know if we could change it to sense motive for this server. It would make the skill even more useful.

I'd prefer to see it use either Spot or Sense Motive, depending on which was higher. Both make sense for countering Feint, the former via visual recognition of a shift in their false attack and the latter via telling signs from their posture/face/etc.

The flaw in the feint versus a viable counter is not spot or sense motive. Both skills make sense versus a deception in combat. What doesnt make sense is the added BAB.. BAB or base attack bonus is an offensive stat and should not help defensivly avoid an incomming action. After all it is not called BDB base defensive bonus. In no way does your ability to hit your foe stop you from being faked out of yer boots IMO

                            That ^

The only time you ever use AB for defense is if you have expertise ~ which funnily enough an invisible blade is likely to have and most foes you fight arnt since mobs are generally built in mind of having higher damage credentials and bonus metamagic feats to make the player have a harder time surviving.
