  • New PRCs - Master of Radiance, Horned Harbinger

I'm pleased to present about 14 hours of work. Horned Harbinger and Master of Radiance. As people know there are a large amount of undead on Sundren, and particularly in the face of druids, I figured the Master of Radiance would make a lot of sense for druids.

And for Horned Harbinger, Myrkul has become a large part of the progressive storyline. It's being reflected in this class. The class had to be modified from the P&P version due to the faction it could literally run around with a giant horde of undead there. In Sundren I think group of undead will feel rather giant.

Horned Harbinger seems pretty damn cool, considering someone could make a 'fighter' build, and still be able to Turn Undead and command Undead.

In fact, I think that character concept is infinitely awesome.

A little like a Blackguard, I guess, in the end. Except with how many 'minions' he'll eventually be able to control. Of course, alternatively, a cleric could take this PrC. Lose out on spellcasting, but have a ton of minions.

    Good stuff, all around.

Do spell focuses or metamagic affect those sun powers? It looks really fun man

I am very interested in the MoR. I like how the two classes in terms balance each other out. They are the ying and yang.

Master of radiance is based on P&P implementation of the spells, not nwn2, just so people know.

The Ray of Sunlight does 4d6/Blind to non undead, and up to 20d6 to undead. It also works exactly like the lighting bolt spell, meaning it blasts everything in a line.

And the searing light does extra damage to creatures we flag as sun damaged Does 10d8 to single target who is vulnerable to sun. No save.

Was definitely fun to test Level 13 MoR eats drowned very easily, hahah.

Also an important note. The horned harbinger creatures DO NOT take summon slots.

So, 3 minions, a summon, and rebuking some undead?

                  That's a small army! :O

According to the wiki, Horned Harbinger requires Knowledge:Planes to use, but doesn't have it as a class skill. Is that intended?

Don't look at me. That is how FR Faiths and Pantheons book said it should be. Planar knowledge is not in it's power.

On a side note, while testing master of radiance, I ran to argyle keep. I turned on my aura and went to the graveyard. I one shotted a zombie and 2 shotted all the others. I was level 15. Took 0 damage with no equipment literally. I think the class works

What are the requirements for the class and is this Horned Harbringer a PrC for Wizard/Necromancers? if they follow Myrkul Im guessing similar to Doomguide would require devotion to Myrkul as a PrC requirement?
