Rants depending on content are allowed. What is not allowed is one player criticizing another player by name. If you have a gripe with a player or a character, take it to the appropriate forum. We don't want these forums degenerating into a he-said, she-said back and forth trashtalking contest.

I say, if you must rant at someome specific, use PRIVATE MESSAGES and deal with it outside of public view. If you have an issue, take it to a DM, NOT the boards. If you must rant, expect it to be deleted... *shrug* I don't see what is so hard about that.

I'm not sure a rant forum would be a good idea. Stress relieving though it would be it could also lead to a lot of hurt feelings. Sometimes no matter how frustrating it's best for us as a community to keep that kind of stuff inside us.

It really depends on the subject of the rant my friend. I for one would not see it suitable for me to rant over another player's/DMs shortcomings, mistakes or characteristics that frustrate me. The only exception to that is the "general you" where I'm not singling out people or naming names.

I like to rant about game mechanics, lore, realism and as some of you may have already come to know, I like to play the devils advocate. It's always best to consider important topics from all angles.

Really bad idea. There was a couple of communities ago, tore it apart. Now the friends that were made on there can't even speak to eachother.
