Group / No Group
Some people just don?t get it when they occasionally fail to get into a group. This is an RP server and now and then you will not get group no matter what. That does not automatically make you or the other person wrong nor does it make anyone a grinder, etc.
A group of four elves get together in Viridale. We wander through Viridale, dispatch a few gnolls and end up near the Mossclaw Meet. We engage in Role Play for what seems like quite a while before we take any action. Eventually, we attack the fort, kill a few gnolls and goblins whereby the server crashes, thus losing all gains.
The server reboots and we resume where we left off. Now, I am not the one to port into an enemy fort so I go the long way. I enter Viridale, fight a few gnolls and some human approaches me. Very little RP ensues? he makes some comment about good fighting and then immediately asks me if I am going to the Mossclaw Fort. I say I am headed to the fort to join my friends and he asks to join me. I tell him I would have him along but the decision is up to my friends. He leaves in a huff. A few seconds later he messages me with some garbage about me being a grinder.
Well, this guy has NO CLUE. Usually, I invite anyone with a pulse to my group. I am trying to be inclusive but also trying to avoid conflict. Well, I am with a group of elves who can be very exclusive ? particularly in Viridale Forest. They do not necessarily want a lot of non-elves around on their quest to rid Viridale of Gnolls, etc. Also, I am already late rejoining my group. Unfortunately, I do not have the time break RP to explain to him that I am with a freaky elf group who does not want humans on a mission they see as their own or that he must continue to tag along to plead his case with the others. I left it up to him whether he wants to run through Viridale Forest to attempt to join the group. He chose to leave and that should have been the end of it.
Later, another player informed me that this guy had previously been banned for a while, presumably due to some behavioral problem.
This is only a game where we Role Play and have fun. Forming groups can enhance the interaction between characters. However, at times you simply will not get group. You may not get group because you do not RP your way into the group. Occasionally, factors beyond your knowledge or control, make it quite unlikely or impossible that you will get group. This also happens in real life. Somebody may rush off and not explain the situation to you. Don?t take it personally. Don?t insult the others. Just move on to have fun elsewhere.
Sorry for the long post.

It's a succinct way for the other player to know that he or she is not being excluded.
