I suppose that brings up another question: How does one find Signus Stones? Do they drop like normal loot? I know the Druid quest with the goblins gives you one. I got another one once from being involved in a DM event.

Whose graven runes in tomes of dread have taught/ What things beyond the star gulfs lurk and leer.
Dark Lord of Averoigne- whose windows stare/ On pits of dream no other gaze could bare!"

Currently, they are from a) the druid quest, b) very rare drops, c) DM rewards, and d) forum contest rewards. We plan to implement more quests soon, and signuses will be a likely reward for some of them.

People who have epic/super characters might consider retiring them Sitting at the top of the game month in and month out can get old very fast. I can tell you that having a group of level 20's in every event does get very old very fast for me. Not to mention the story of your character sometimes stagnates.

I wasn't aware anyone had hit epic levels yet, have they?
          Characters:
Peridan Twilight, one-eyed dog of the Legion, deceased.
Daniel Nobody, adventurer and part time problem solver.

I believe GBX was speaking figuratively Peri.

I'll be honest though, I love Os. Part of me has considered me having him go AWOL on his duties and flee back home to Navil, but another part of me has other intentions.

Know what you mean the Silas, I keep meaning to retire Eira - I very very rarely play her, and her main objective - helping set up a temple to Auril - is done / defunct.

Trouble is, every time I think about it too much I end up in the mood to play the icy bitch!
              Eira Skald - Icy bitch.
Karsten Mannerheim - Idealist and murderer.
Vincent Hopkins - Witch Hunter and man of faith.
Aedan Gilter - Dreamer of broken dreams.
Henry L. Jones - Oh god, I can see forever.

And you obviously cannot retire Osclow unless Annie allows it.
Annaleen Wiltenholm-There's always something to smile about.
Chani Kalera- Intimidation is the new diplomacy. *looms*
Eleanor "Bloody Elle" Lark - Why is the rum always gone?
Yolanda Brown - If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But unless life also gives you water and sugar, your lemonade is going to suck.
                Astrid Hammerhand - Och!

Perma-leave still sounds better than perma-death for someone like Os. C'mon, EVERYone knows you cannot kill off the comedy relief. lol

It's the risk I, and everyone else, runs of course. A glorious death can still be pretty cool, especially if you play a villain.

i agree with gbx about characters being stagnate over time. i learned this by watching tv series(hercules) and animes(dragon ball z) being dragged out too long. which is why i decided to retire my main character pericles at lvl 12. though now i am regretting it just a little. none of my new characters lasts very long or i lose interest in them very easily. it seems i am not meant to play anything other than what i was born to play, a handsome paladin.
