DR doesnt stack? so that means you take DR4/- then DR 6/- then DR6/-...

    Does it make a difference?

Bane of enemies is the only feat for which this is true. You only need 8 levels of fighter for epic weapon focus (prereq greater weapon focus) and 12 for specialization (prereq greater weapon spec). You can easily take Thayan Knight and Weapon Master levels with that to get your AB and melee damage even higher.

Your highest value counts, as far as I'm aware.

I wasn't, and I don't think anyone else here, is attacking the DM's. We all greatly appreciate the time they put it to this server, and our disagreement with this decision is not out of personal grief towards the staff.

Alright, but even so, each of those classes, once they reach epic levels do offer bonus epic feats based on a specific list.

For example, the ranger (aside from his fighting style culminating at level 21) gets one feat from their own epic lists at level 23, 26 and 29.

Perhaps as a compromise those feats in the epic lists could be retained, and the general list restricted as currently described in the wiki? After all only pure single class characters are ever going to have access to them. Narrowing it down to the class specific levels is also going to make the opportunities to get them very few.

...and that's not even taking into consideration the prerequisites some of those require. Take Epic Animal Companion. It's one thing to get access to it as a bonus feat... entirely another to have the necessary Wisdom 25 for it, especially for a caster that started with 15 in his primary stat - which is reasonable for a balanced build (Wis 20 by level 20, demanding 5 more increases before becoming available). You probably won't see it taken at level 21 unless you're dealing with a Grey Orc/Aasimar that capped his wisdom stat from the very start and then constantly upped it through 20 levels. Some of these really do already have steep requirements that make thier selection unlikely.

Epic Animal companion, for a ranger? Probably won't ever happen. ~_~

That's not the way it works in NWN2. You only have one bonus feats list and that covers everything. Hence, the way it used to be, you could take your first 2 levels of fighter on 21 and 22 and get 2 extra epic feats that way. Which is just dumb.

All epic feats have been removed from class bonus feat lists for that reason. You can only buy standard feats with post-20 bonus points.

              o.O Ehh?

Are you sure? I just took a look at the epic bard I played to the end of Mask Of the Betrayer and toyed with the xp to relevel... and the feat list I got on those bonus levels was much shorter than the one of the other levels.

I seem to recall it was that way too in Hordes of the Underdark.

Or were the epic feats I could access on the bonus levels limited because I could only apply for a few? I could have sworn the non-bonus levels had a much longer list.

The list of bonus feats a bard gets isn't that long. Not all feats are on that list.. so that is why it was shorter.

But bonus feats like a fighter gets on first and every even level draw from the same pool as epic feats. It's just that he won't meet the requirements to choose the epic ones until he's level 21. But he doesn't need to be 21st level fighter to do that. You can also be a level 20 barbarian and take 2 levels in fighter to get bonus epic feats.

The same goes for wizard bonus feats (every 5 levels), divine champion bonus feats (every 2) and rogue bonus feats (every 3 from 10 and beyond, if I recall correctly). One could even pick one of our custom spellcaster prestige classes past 20 and take an epic feat instead of 'Mystic Theurge Spellcasting (Wizard)', for instance.

It looks like Obsidian used to have planned to put in background feats like 'Epic Fighter' and 'Epic Wizard', actually requiring you to be level 21 in those classes and maybe using them as prerequisites to take epic feats. But they ran into a problem when seeing that you can't really do that. Because then, for example, it makes it impossible for a level 11 sorcerer/10 arcane scholar to take epic spell focus feats. As even with OR-logic it would require you to be level 21 in a single class.

                    Locking the thread.

Kangleton and others, I again remind you that you are accountable for how you phrase things when you use our forums. Speaking about "laziness" on the dev team's part is completely, completely absurd. You don't know the amount of time they put in to thinking about and implementing these things. Mocking tones will get you blocked from forum use.
