sounds like the "on equip" script was modified.
easy fix would be that the spell shape shift etc put a variable on the player and the on equip checks for it.
does MoMF function properly too? or cause the same delay?
*edit*
just a thought, is this really a problem? I mean the reason was to promote realism of dawning armor. Would not changing form take time and alot of pain also causing the person to be distracted/phased for a bit?Last edited by Product of Void; 05-19-2009, 04:50 PM.

I wonder if it would now be possible to add in the feat found in DND that allows Battleragers to sleep in their armor except allowing anyone who wants to take the feat, to take it."Who needs a plan when you've got an Axe!"

Sleeping in armor?
Nice ideabut I do not really see many people taking that as a feat unless it did something else as well or was a prereq for some prc.
Then again, it would sure make those assassins think twice.sigpic

Hmm.... is it possible to apply this equip/unequip timer only when the regular rest rules begin to apply (i.e. after level 5)?
I think it makes low level hunting a bit tedious - I know a few toons who do have to rest after each batch of goblins they are taking out, and the time taken for this now roughly quadrupled for the tin can types...
Other than that I think it's a cool thing.Annaleen Wiltenholm-There's always something to smile about.
Chani Kalera- Intimidation is the new diplomacy. *looms*

Yolanda Brown - If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But unless life also gives you water and sugar, your lemonade is going to suck.

Maybe I could halve the times for levels under 6.
But reducing the times to 50% sounds good to me.

If i remember correctly...in PnP it takes 4 turns to put on a Fullplate which is 12 seconds.
you have to remember that in the real world fullplates from D&D is only a half plate or a battleplate armor. Real fullplate armors were so heavy that if you fell over you aint moving again they only allowed for limb movement and such.
My example of this is King Frederick the 5th's armor..it weighed a mind blogging 110kg with a weight of 25kg on each arm and leg. thats alot.
SO IMO id say the timers cool...but reduce it abit.

According to the handy dandy DnD 3.5 SRD . . . Biohazard is sort of right. It does take 4 turns but a turn is actually ten rounds. That's four minutes. A nice abstraction of reality to be sure. :P I went to a Rennisance Festival once and had them put some plate type armor on me an it took nearly 30 minutes and that was with the help of experienced. . . helpers.
We've actually got it really good in Sundren!

while on the topic. how impossible would it be to shift from one form to another with out reverting to true form first? This was common practice for me in pnp...

For the record, I for one am down with the new "burden" for tin cans... I had felt for a long time that the big ac bonus was to easily obtained. I have a bunch of newer toons who wear big armours and I find the pause to be more than palatable.
Keep up the good stuff DEVs and DMs!
