If any dm has an issue with the costs of the enchants I offer to the Skullcleavers I would hope for someone to let me know. I have all of them posted and what people do to earn that faction for a reason. I don't recall any 3 elementals coming though my enchantment table, but I prolly have added a second element to some folks. Thanks Kael for all the hard work, and the dev team to keep things balanced, if there's anything u need from me just lemme know.

I have been on a server where they limited it to one type of elemental damage. I do not think that is unreasonable. I have not had any of my blades enchanted with more than one type. I personally have plans for the 3rd enchantment slot on them. However, keep in mind that not everyone is a wizard/priest and can further augment there weapons. I am playing a guy that can not even cast a single spell at the moment.sigpic

I'm agreeing based on the fact that +3d6 with three different elements seems like mid to high level magic. I'd rather have that than +3 to attack. +3 might add 10-25% more damage. +3d6 is adding 300% to a 1d6 weapon. You could block it, but you'd need 3 castings of energy immunity, since protection from elements wouldn't last very long. And you'd need to know which 3 elements are being used, and cast the spells ahead of time. But it's ultimately up to the DMs and Devs to collectively decide.
Personally though, I think the barriers are currently such that I wouldn't expect anyone below level 12 to have a +3d6 weapon. If they do, they're doing something iffy.Dalian - Shapeshifter of the Tuatha Dé Dúlra

^ To that comment; I Know lots of people with imba weapons.
Personally I just have hoarded my gems in the past cause the enchanters (Like Fezz) are pretty tight with enchantments (and for good reason) unless its someone they are extremely friendly with!
The only reason Peligiri @ Ranger5/DS2 got his D6 fire on his rapier is because he was particularly friendly with a certain enchanter who shall remain unnamed and he has spent more hours then Ao on the server :S I wouldnt push any weapon beyond a D6, let alone base damage for the weapon..Originally posted by roguethreeIf I had my way, clerics would have spell failure and a d6 hit die. And Favored Souls wouldn't exist.

Hmm... would this work, out of interest?
+1d6 cold, electrical and acid enchantments.
Cast flame weapon.
Cast greater magic weapon on it.
THEN cast bless weapon on it.
Then cast light on it, just for the lulz.
???
PROFIT.
EDIT:
x2, and dual wield.
EDIT2:
On 2 greatswords and MONKEY GRIP!
EDIT3:
Screw it, we should just all pool in money and try this shizzle, just to see how uber it is xD
FINAL EDIT:
Actually, if it was a staff, would casting Blackstaff uber it up any more? Just in case we come across someone with elemental damage reduction

Duel weilding big weapons -4/-4 on attack. Also means your using strength instead of dex to attack if finese is being used.
The idea you show would be a charactor with lots of strength and wisdom, maybe chrisma so they can use war domain and magic to get black staff.
wisdom 18+ to get level 8 spells
then what is left over for str and chr to hit things and have duration to domain effects.
spells Aid, Bless, bull str, blackstaff, battle tide, I think there are a few more spells clerics have that help alot I don't play them just beat em up :P.
Energy immunity is nice when fighting things you know what type of energy they will have but there is other spells that just absorb damage in general, others absorb all elmental damage. Adamintine, and knockdown are the bane of casters.
GMW and black staff do not stack just the better is gained if I remeber right so you get a +4 weapon.
In order to get full adavantage of what folks are fearing I would figure a ranger duel welding something small enchanted with 3d6 damages with a party cleric to buff them. Which is tatics and a smart party.
nasty trick I figured out is with a ranger you get TWF for free without the dex needed. so 21 levels of ranger and you get perfect TWF and can be a str baised fighter, add in three levels of Swashbuckler and you get to add int. Was using it in battle of the builds last night and I think the +10 to damage before items at level 30.

Staffs can be used to do this thanks to the brambles spell in Sundren.
It gives you a +1 AB / DMG on staffs per caster level so you can make a cleric based around it or a favored soul. Makeing the 1d6 1d6 1d6 even more powerful than previously imagined. But... you guys don't derail it!Elric Modner. - "Yesterday I dared struggle against tyranny, Today I dare to fight once again."

Having 3 different elements at 1d6 on a weapon is rediculous in my opinion. However, a simple 1d6 of any one element is fine, and perhaps even getting that 1d6 up to 1d10. As long as you don't hit an ogre with an insane explosion of 15 different colours from your little sorceror halfling dagger then I guess it's alright.
